Oh dear.. well unfortanately as these women have ugly souls, they have to pay other to ugly people do the dirty work for them, in skinning defenceless beautiful creatures alive to try make themselves look half decent, but they fail. How people have turned pets over to them thinking they would at least TRY to find them a home, only to find their pets were killed in the PETA van before they even reached their destination. Ingrid came from an abusive home and now, classically, takes pleasure and brags about "euthanizing" peoples pets.

Since you are of "above average intelligence" - numerous spelling and grammatical errors aside - perhaps you can be reasoned with (but I'm not holding my breath).

Yes, people have worm fur since the beginning of time. But it has usually been out of need, not vanity, although I imagine trying to appear special and better than others by means of something external to oneself is probably not new. We don't need to wear fur now. Fur-supplying animals today are treated cruelly, often skinned alive for vanity. This is not what I would call a practice that makes humans look very intelligent.

Yes, we are omnivores. Vegetarianism is a choice, and as long as no one stops me from eating the diet I was born to consume - which includes meat - I say, live and let live. But eating meat for survival (and using all byproducts such as leather) and wearing fur for vanity, or torturing dogs for "sport" are different.

Yes, we have the freedom of choice. We may have the "right" to wear fur. But every now and then, it might make the world a wee bit better if we considered the possibility that having a "right" doesn't always make it right. We used to have the "right" to own fellow human beings as slaves. Some people still think they have the "right" to stone a woman to death because men raped her and think that act by others somehow means that SHE was the one to dishonor the family. Off topic, but I'm making a point.

It doesn't make one less of a man, or a person, to see where one might have something to learn. Quite the contrary.

What you peta people have seen is their propaganda videos. In any industry there are people who behave badly. Skinning animals alive is NOT the norm in the fur farm industry. My uncle owns a fur farm and the animals are killed humanely as is REQUIRED by law in the USA. Should we all stop eating in restaurants because the health department finds violations in some of them every year. Should we all stop driving cars because some have recalls each year. Not all animals killed for fur are killed in the way PETA shows, not all turkeys at Butterball are "molested" etc. PETA's only goal is to eliminate ALL of man's association with animals. I think Mary J. Blige and Patti LaBelle are talented singers and i do like their music. I personally don't think fur coats are attractive but that is just my opinion. I don't agree with the inhumane and cruel ways animals are slaughtered for food or fashion. And I also don't agree with some of the actions of PETA, sometimes they go too far. Its a free country and we do have choices, so I choose to NOT wear fur, NOT eat animals, NOT buy leather products and NOT buy products that test on animals. (However, there are so many products/meds/etc. that do test on animals that are necessary for people) so you can't be completely cruelty-free in this modern world. I'm not going to tell other people how to live their lives but i'd wish more people were aware of animal cruelty and maybe they would choose to not help contribute to it.

Yes i LOVE animals and i also LOVE people. And this pisses me off! Why is it that some people think just because you stand up for animals that you only love animals and hate humans?!!! There has to be people like us who care for animals also! Animals can't speak for themselves. Animals have feelings just like people but they can't communicate to humans that they don't want to be skinned for a fur coat. Get a grip people, not every animal lover belongs to PETA. I am against the fur trade that kills these animals in such a cruel way just for their fur!!!!! Killing an animal for meat is different because its for basic survival, we need food. If you take a look at primitive cultures they hunt and kill animals but use every part of the animal for something! Animals hunt, kill and eat other animals for food, not for their fur!!! Humans are stupid and kill an animal just because. I don't support people who wear fur but if thats what they want to do then so be it, i'm not gonna make rude comments or go throw some red paint on them. That is just plain stupid and not everyone who wears fur knows what the true story is, they need to be educated. I am happy that someone who loves animals took the time to share and educate me about animal cruelty. I was naive and didn't know anything like this went on. Now i educate children and adults who are interested in learning about this and no i don't force my opinions on other people and tell them to be fur-free or vegan!!! Guess what. Wool is a renewable resource. And you don't have to kill the sheep to get it. And you don't have to kill an animal, OR a plant, to get cotton.

TMZ mentioned PETA, but many of the comments here come from far less radical sources. Many of us are opposed to killing animals for vanity. Yes, I wear shoes made of leather. But I won't wear a belt made out of elephant or a coat made from a leopard skin. There is a difference. No one that I know of eats elephant. We do eat animals, we are at the top of the food chain, but that doesn't mean we have to loose sight of the sacrifice a living thing makes so that we may survive. Wearing fur is no longer about survival. I may eat meat, but I don't do so because I envy the way it looks, or hope that by consuming it, I will look rich or powerful.

Chinchillas, mink, foxes - they are all beautiful creatures. We don't kill them because they are vermin, or in some way threaten our survival, or because we need to for our survival. We kill them because they are beautiful.

How sick is that?
