Richard Simmons Gives Boy Pap a Complex

The patron Santa of chubby folks, Richard Simmons, made a gender blunder that unraveled a 14-year-old boy.


The paparazzi, including one pint-sized, curfew-challenged photog, caught the loquacious exercise guru outside his studio in Los Angeles over the weekend, where Simmons invited the paps inside for a little holiday refreshments.

Simmons seemed especially fond of the wee paparazzo, inquiring how old "she" is. Poor Austin was so horrified, he ran out of the shop. Eventually, someone set him straight. Or at least tried.

Aw, Richard is the nicest guy in the world!!!! I love him. Everyone should stop insulting him for thinking he's gay and just be happy that there is someone out there who is POLITE and RESPECTFUL. I love him!!!

Those shorts are his trademark. He probably has dozens of pairs, and is instantly recognizeable in them. I just got all the old Simmons dancing aerobic vids at a fleamart and do them for a change of pace. My husband laughs at me, but I am fit.
