
The 26-year-old U.S. citizen was snapped while getting her passport photo taken at a Kinko's in Burbank on Thursday. When posing for a shot that's gonna last ten years, you'd think she'd want hair and makeup!

I don't know about the USA...but in Canada you are not allowed to have anything that can alter your appearance i.e. makeup, glasses, hair must be down, no smiling for passport photos.
Passport photos are *supposed* to look like mug-shots!! 10 years? Really? You guys are lucky; here in Canada our passports are only valid for 5 years and cost 85$ each!
No make-up no smile has been the suggested rule for passport pix for about 800 years.

What pose should the photos show?
The photo should show a clear, front view, full face of the customer. The customer should be in normal street attire, without hat or dark glasses against a plain white or off-white background. The customer should have a natural expression, mouth closed, and eyes open and looking directly ahead. Photos in which the face of the person being photographed is not in focus will not be accepted.
