"American Idol" Is Plagued -- with the Flu!

American IdolInfluenza is turning out to be a bigger threat to "American Idol" than DUIs, stripper scandals or the massacring of Beatles songs!

Sources tell TMZ since this season's nasty flu has infected contestants, their family members and show staff more than ever, a meeting was called to warn the "Idols" about being aware of who they come in contact with, ways to protect their voices and how to try to avoid catching the virus. Wash your hands, wannabes! We're told that some contestants have really taken it seriously and even be spotted wearing medical masks. The return of SARS!

Last night, the flu may have caused Ramiele's voice to go "bye bye"-- tonight we'll find out if she will!

1. I think the show should be sparying lysol or something around. These people are stressed trying to perform, and have people sit in judgement of them, they need to be taken care of.
Hey, did someone give Randy some PMS pills last night after the program. The good singer he panned, and the bad singer he lvoed. He made Simon look good. My hats off to all of them each week being put on display and having people say bad and good things about them.

3. Badmom, I hear you. We were wondering the same thing. It almost looked like her left side ripped...there was material and strings hanging out...then the gloves. They should fire her stylist.

8. How hard is it for people to get a FLU SHOT!
Idiots .
If you are going to be around people you need a FLU SHOT> whether you go to the grocery store once a week, school, work or American Idol.

11. Re: kgb

If you have been paying attention to the news, you would know that flu shots were not very effective this year.
In other words, many people who got a flu shot this year STILL got the flu!

15. Well, I thought most of the contestants sucked last night.

The exceptions were David Cook and Michael (sorry Michael, I can't remember your last name). If they were to listen to Simon's words of advice instead of getting their back up every time he spoke they might get somewhere, and that goes for the crowds too. Even 'Guru David Foster' said they should listen to Simon.

I really get FED UP with all the groaning and moaning. If they all just listened to the CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM offered, they might just learn something.
