PETA is trying to help out Aretha Franklin with that whole foreclosure mess she's in. The animal rights group has written a letter to the fur-ocious Queen of Soul offering to pay her $19,000 tax bill if she promises to never wear fur again and donate her unwanted furs to PETA - like Mariah Carey and Kim Cattrall have done.
Aretha should know, fur is definitely out of fashion. Hasn't she seen all those shots of Paris and Britney getting out of cars?

I think NutriSystem ought to snag Aretha to Represent now that Marie Osmond is skinny. If she slims down, (on Nutrisystem's dollar) plus a nice fee, then she will great and possibly tour again, and I may get to see her. Play Calgary.

Animals are raised specifically for their fur, and farm bred to eat as well. It's called domestication. So what's next?
No angora or wool cuz you have to shave a poor goat or ram and they have to go neked? No silk cuz the little worms are being kept in boxes and forced to cocoon themselves? No cotton or linen shirts cuz you're killing plants?

Lets see: Polyester, Rayon, Nylon just a few fabrics using Petroleum....are you fighting the fact that oil products are ruining the planet? I didn't think so.
Sneakers, coats, running and fitness clothes that aren't biodegradable ending up in the landfills so you can have the latest, greatest brand name stuff.....until you fight myriad chemicals going into the rivers, lakes and ocean from making your clothes... SHUT UP about FUR!
