After getting popped this weekend for possession in Hollywood, Warren G's reps issued this truly original statement to TMZ.
"They were in the Hollywood area for Kanye's party. He was a passenger asleep in the front seat when the car was pulled over. They charged him because he didn't debrief. Whatever was found wasn't his, it was in the car."

Only 3 ways to garner back 2 minutes in the limelite in this day and age.
1. Get busted for drugs, do a PSA denouncing said drungs.
2. Do a stint in a fancy Rehab clinic, make it appear that you dont want people to know you are in Rehab, but somehow an anonymous phone call is made and a goofball Pap is ready to snap your pic as you walk in.
3. Die. And 10 years later hope that the Weinstein Brothers opt to make a TV biopic all about your drug bust and rehab stint.

Two of the elements the prosecution must prove in any drug possession case is (1) knowledge of the substance's presence and (2) knowledge of the substance's character as a controlled substance. If the car was not G's and the pot was not found in his bag, he may have a solid basis for contesting the knowledge element.
