After collapsing at her home, spending a week in the hospital and being diagnosed with "early signs of what could be emphysema," Wineheezy did what any popwreck with a death wish would do -- smoked a cig!
How do you say conservatorship in British?
Nicotine is seriously physically addictive for at least 80% of users. People who quit cold turkey most likely were in the 20% who were never physically addicted. How bad withdrawal from nicotine is depends on the individual, so no one can judge someone else from their own experience or a friend's experience.
A friend got off other drugs but clung to nicotine for a long time after that, even though he had lifelong heart problems. People were still blasting him for it even though I could tell that he was definitely cutting back on the ciggies just from the way his clothes smelled. That was quite a triumph in itself, just being able to cut way down.
This picture might be old (TMZ does that frequently, to fool readers into thinking there is evidence for their wild claims), but if she is smoking after the hospital - she may just be doing gradual withdrawal. Withdrawal of addictive substances too fast can throw the body seriously out of whack, since it's already come to a "balance" assuming the addictive substance is there. It's like walking a tightrope with two heavy weights, one on each hand. Suddenly take away one of the weights - and you may very well fall off the tightrope.
If Amy W. has other addictions, most likely she should get off everything else first before trying to get off the nicotine. Going off everything at once is more likely going to be too great a physical stress and also greatly increases the odds of failure long-term. She needs to let her body adjust.
Just hope she doesn't substitute those ultrahigh-caffeine drinks, which will also do a number on her... Caffeine is also a drug, and many people are physically addicted -- as they discover when they are suddenly deprived of their usual caffeine fix! But really high caffeine doses are pretty toxic for anybody, addicted or not.
Amy runs rings around all these cut from the same mold singers....Beyonce, Ashanti, Rihanna, Christina...etc., etc. - they're a dime a dozen. She's got soul...and sadly a troubled life to go with it. I'm more concerned for her having an irregular heartbeat than I am for the emphysema. It's the crack that's caused her problems and I hope she can stop spiraling out of control with that. The cigarettes will also have to go....but let's hope she gets the real help she needs and soon...so she doesn't do any more damage. By the way..for all of you who think she's ugly....before she got mixed up in the drug scene - she was very pretty and underneath it all...that same pretty is still there. Her talent is incredible and TMZ would do well to back off and take all the other vicious fools on this website with you. The human race shows it's ugly face way too often on your site...I guess it's what you invite in all your tackiness ...but if it's a toss-up between who is the more decent of the lot...you or your target of the day - Amy ...with all her troubles...wins by a mile ...for she happens to be a really sweet and kind girl. I guess you've never really met her or you would know that...Get well, Amy...
she's disgusting as hell..........gain some freaking weight, get off the damn crack and act like a civilized human being
This girl just doesn't understand, or can't understand. Why would anyone who has been what she has been through still want to do that? Give her a few more years (months) and people will be asking Amy W.H. O!
Britney Spears might miss a lot more 'X Factor' auditions ... because she can! Simon Cowell gave Brit damn near free reign in order to sign the pop star to that $15 million deal -- but is it backfiring? We'll tell you what peeps on the set are saying.Plus, Chris Jericho's…
