Larry Harmon, the man credited with making Bozo the Clown the icon he was, died Thursday of congestive heart failure. He was 83.
Harmon wasn't the original Bozo, but built up the character and eventually licensed it to television stations across the country.

Aww. I used to have a little record book when the had 45 size records that played at the speed 16...hey it was handed down from my older brother, It was Larry Harmon acting out the story of Pinochio. That little red record. How easily we were entertained back then.
I have to go see if YouTube has the Mary Tyler Moore Show episode of The funeral of Chuckles the Clown.
What was his saying? "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants"? Something like that. Best episode ever.
