Whoopi -- Will McCain Go All 1864 On My Ass?

Whoopi needs to put it to rest. Slavery will never again exist in our country, the people won't stand for it.

I do empathize and understand how tragic slavery was and how it has affected the descendants of those that were slaves. But I am so very tired of hearing today's african american citizens go on and on and on about how they have suffered. Were you held as a slave? Did you endure the inhumane treatment? Were you the one who actually physically and mentally suffered? No, you weren't. Did I beat you? Mistreat you? Hold you against your will because I said you were my property? No, I didn't, nor would I. These tragic events happened over a hundred years ago. Neither you nor I were there, so how can we authentically go on about it like it was yesterday? Learn from the tragic errors and put what was learned to good use. Don't argue with the bitterness, sarcasm, or with that huge chip on our shoulders. It's over....dont' forget it, but don't relive it every moment of every day when it's not necessary.

While I am on here. I have to ask...WHY when we try to view a video, do we get those damn commercials first now? Don't we get bombarded enough with these friggin' ads on tv? Now we have to put up with them online too? Someone should do something about this invasion of privacy. We pay for online, so we shouldn't have to be bothered by these good for nothing ads, some of which are so annoying, they make you want to smash the screen, EITHER of them! Commercials, GO TO HELL!!!

While "The View" isn't really a *Serious News Show*, the lack of professionalism (especially with Barbara Walters) astounds me! Senator McCain (and his wife) were invited guests to the show. Whoopie continued to mumble comments, roll her eyes, smirk, etc..through the whole interview. Even Joy (who I expected to "act up")..showed some restraint and reverence. Just because you have a difference of opinion or of political beliefs, doesn't give you a right to be condescending, rude, and ignorant. I thought the McCains showed grace, style, and professionalism in the HOSTILE environment they were obviously in. YES--the candidates DESERVE tough and pointed questions so voters can get to know them and make 'educateds' decisions, but when the interviewer(s) come across like brash, know-it-all, FOOLS ~ it does NO ONE any good. SHAME ON WHOOPI AND BARBARA..no wonder I don't make the show part of my daily viewing routine!!
