Lets break it down then: You have a great job that someone provided for you, someone with wealth, who takes all the risks so that you can have the job. Your job is so good that you can prosper and own property. People with wealth in this country are the ones who provide jobs for the middle class. Doing business in the US is so expensive and full of red tape that business goes elsewhere and takes away from the middle class. Why should those of us that work, create jobs, etc be forced to "SPREAD THE WEALTH AROUND" because of the government forces us to work hard and give it in welfare to people who don't work or contribute anything. Why do you think someone who has worked so hard and has been able to do so well that they can afford to employ many people, they should be taxed at such a high level that they can't grow and employ even more people? Wealth redistribution is a socialist philosophy not democratic. Why would we not make it highly appealing to business owners/creators to do business in the US? Higher taxes snuffs out growth and ultimately the middle class and poor pay the price. Why would you not aspire to be a billionaire yourself? There is nowhere in the world that you can prosper like you can in the US. Obama's policies punish those that do well instead of encouraging growth. Why would you try to earn more money if the government is forcing you to give it to them to redistribute. The wealthy already pay the highest percentage of taxes.

Recently a black man, James Harris, stood up at a McCain rally and told McCain that he would have to go after Obama to
win This man is black but he is a Conservative. He has been inondated with calls to his radio show calling him a "sell out" or an "Uncle Tom" as well as other unspeakable slurs. Why is the black community so hateful to it's own when they vote their principles instead of their race?

The biggest difference between the two candidates is Socialism vs. Democracy. Most of this country, black and white, are middle of the road in their principles. McCain is actually more the democrat than an actual conservative republican. He has a long history in the Senate of reaching across the aisle and working with both parties. McCain has taken alot of heat in his career for going against the republicans. Unfortunately, Obama is too liberal for my taste. He has voted straight along party lines or "present" in his short time in the Senate. His philosophy of wealth redistribution is troublesome for democray. I would prefer McCain to be more conservative but he is far more conservative than Obama. Obama's policies of Universal Healthcare is too much government intervention for my taste as well. McCain is leaving healthcare to the free market which is my preference. I believe in the American people and we should have less government and more power in our own hands. We are all, at the end of the day, Americans, black or white and voting is our birthrite. If Obama was conservative, I would not be able to vote for him fast enough. The candidates have both taken quite a few jabs at each other, good or bad, it seems to be the nature of the beast with campaigning.

Anyone that thinks that white people won't vote for Obama because he's black, I can tell you there are plenty of white people I know that are voting Obama. That is their choice. If the problem is that if a white doesn't vote Obama it has to be because he's black doesn't allow for choice. Then I say, if this election isn't based on people's choice, then why aren't we just giving it to the black guy because he's black? Your argument is to box the opponent in - I must be a racist if I'm white and I don't vote for Obama, therefore I have no choice but to vote for Obama.

I just watched the video on You Tube of the Sarah Palin rally in Johnstown PA - there was a man holding a stuffed monkey with an Obama sticker and shaking it at the camera, dozens of people shouting "Obama bin Laden", ranting about terrorists, and lots of "Hussein" t-shirts being sold outside the event...does anyone still want to deny there is racism out there?? Palin has stoked the fires of racism herself and she should be ashamed of herself. She was found guilty of an ethics violation herself just last week, and yet she is still in denial. She IS a fraud and an the kind of so-called Christian that scares me more than anyone associated with Obama.
Another video - a home with a dummy covered in a sheet with Barack "Hussein" written on it, hanging from a tree. And let's not forget last month, at the "CHRISTIAN" college in Oregon, when students discovered a stuffed dummy with "Obama" wriiten on it hanging from a tree on campus. Anyone still want to deny racism??
And then there's the "Focus on the Family" nut jobs. At a recent event in California, they were selling boxes of "Obama Waffles." On the box was a caricature of Obama wearing a turban with the slogan "Face East for Better Flavor" Anyone still want to deny racism??
Yes, racism is alive and well in this country and most of it comes from the so called "Christians." To me they are intolerant, hypocritical, right wing, scary wackos. There are a few good ones out there, but the intolerant ones, like Palin and her clan, the lying, the preaching one thing and doing another (Palin's daughter is pregnant, the future son-in-law just dropped out of high school, and Palin herself was pregnant when she got married) they are the scariest ones of all. In case you don't believe me, Palin got married on 8/29/88 - Track was born on 4/2/89 - do the math.

Actually..I wish HE was running for President, he'd have my support in FULL! it's no surprise that he wouldn't throw his support McCain's way, as i think he and McCain have clashed with each other in the past, and I'm sure i would be on the side of Powell's position of which they clashed over. McCain is only a "Maverick" because he does bounce around the lines of Conservative and Liberal beliefs, and normally that would be a major plus for him, in the eyes of the country who don't like the extremists from either side, but nonetheless...

..it seems rather hypocritical that Obama and his supporters would take Powell's endorsement as a plus, seeing how not too long ago, Powell was under fire and great SCORN for being part of the cabinet that 'LIED" to us about Iraq and helped to launch an invasion there.
