Cops -- Hudson Nephew Shot in SUV

10/31/2008 4:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

7-year-old Julian King may have been alive when he left the house where his grandma and uncle were killed –- and then was shot in the SUV where his body was found.

That's what one police official says happened last Friday in the brutal slayings of the Jennifer Hudson's family. The official, quoted by the AP, did not elaborate on an exact timeline of the murders, and a police rep didn't comment.

Julian's stepfather William Balfour remains in custody.

57. Some of you people are really really sick. Talk about putting the horse before the carriage! GEEZE...

It might be putting the horse before the carriage to you. But to me it's about living in a sick world where family (i.e. mothers) can have something to do with the death of a so-called loved one. So many mothers and fathers have gone under the radar because of people like you who refuse to accept that fact. Look at Caylee. She has been missing for ages and her mother in not cooperating with the police. When I say not cooperating I mean she is withholding information and lying. There is no evidence she had anything to do with the disappearance of her child (which I'm sure she did). But her refusal to cooperate with the authorities is making the job of the police department harder and making the chances of the little girl being found alive slimmer with each passing day. It's called living in reality. Care to join me there?

Oh, dear. Feel like I should remind folks that US law means innocent until proven guilty...

I would be careful about drawing conclusions based on Julia's public behavior. This is all a lot to get used to at once, and even in loss of just one family member - it's not uncommon to be numb and preternaturally calm until all the official mourning protocols are done and people stop hovering around the survivor. And it is also not unusual for doctors to prescribe medication to keep people preternaturally calm after such an event - so she could also be heavily drugged (quite legally). Especially considering that she's coping with the loss of the three family members (three generations) she lived with every day.

I also think that nowadays it would be quite natural for someone to distract themselves with myspacing, especially since it would be the easiest way to communicate with a lot of friends at once. People distract themselves with books, mags, tv, radio, games during such times - why not myspacing? That doesn't mean her heart's not breaking inside. We all try to go through the motions of normal life while getting used to a loss.

Answer to #53 and 54 Rhonda

Rhonda you do make some valid poins that I did not consider. You must surely be a detective or in the law field. You have posed many questions in my mind and everyone elses but let's just wait and see what the law will bring to the tables. I truely though that the Amy Peterson case was the worst in the history of the US but this just takes the cake to kill a kid like this. I sure hope your points are looked into and that Jennifer and David are not withholding evidence from the law. My entire family is distraught behind this as we followed Jennifer by viewing all her videos over the internet and was so happy for her career. I sure hope we can find peace and Julian is truely an angel with the power of the supreme being.
