Anna's Dr.'s Office Raided - Howard K. Connection

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the doctor who prescribed Anna Nicole Smith methadone when she was 8 months pregnant has just had his office raided... and we've learned authorities are looking for a connection between the doc and Howard K. Stern.



The California Medical Board got a warrant to search Dr. Sandeep Kapoor's Studio City office this morning. Informed law enforcement sources tell us they are looking for prescriptions Kapoor may have written for Howard K. Stern. We're told Medical Board officials want to know if Stern may have used Kapoor to score drugs for Anna -- something Stern has vehemently denied.

The California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, has been conducting an investigation into Kapoor since 2007. He has also been under investigation by the Medical Board for his prescription practices. Thirteen days before Smith gave birth to Dannielynn he wrote a methadone prescription for her under an alias, Michelle Chase. Under California law, it's illegal to prescribe a controlled substance under a false name.

UPDATE: Howard K. Stern just released this statement to TMZ: "Dr. Kapoor never prescribed Anna Nicole medication in my name -- and that is what the Medical Board will find out."

5. :-O this is my doctor...and I love him, he's a great doctor. there has to be more to the story. Uggghhh I though he was done with this crap...i just had a check up with him last month. and NO he never ever prescribes something unless you need it.

12. 1. HKS cannot be held liable for ANS's death, it states that the last round in the Kapoor connection were written to Michelle Chase alias. Therefore as well proving the use of alias.

2. The DEA should already know if any meds were written in HKS's name due to the controlled substances act (?) in going through past prescriptions that have to be turned into the DEA. The patient's name would be attributed already.

3. Sounds like they are looking to see if they can find anything that wasn't turned into DEA, possibly looking for something that isn't there due to unable to connect through the DEA databases? You know don't get what they want so go fishing for more.

4. I wonder what the probable cause was for the warrant/raid?

5. They would have already known that all ANS's scripts of Florida, in HKS's name, were by Dr Kapoor (they wouldn't have had to have the raid if that were the case. As well using the celebrity privacy of HKS's name was already well know.

6. Somewhat ironic timing as the E Series just ran with HKS in it AND ANS's 2 year anniversary. Sounds like the Dr. E thing they did..

7. In both doctors cases, Dr Khris and Dr. Kapoor both agreed to cooperate, so what is the raid reason... except for possibility of fishing being unable to tie anything else down?

I will wait to see what else is said, there is too many IFs as in they should have proof due to all the forementioned if that were the case v a raid.
