No Ruling in Piven Case

jeremy piven: breaking newsThe Actors' Equity Association could not reach a ruling today in the hearing involving Jeremy Piven, so now it looks like they might be headed to arbitration.

Piven and the producers were battling over his abrupt sushi-related departure from the Broadway play "Speed-the-plow."

1. Typical, a high profile person will never get punished. He lied about a condition to get out of being in the play, end of story, there should be no trouble making a decision on this issue.

2. This show closed and lost a lot of money because of this clown's immaturity. I say sue his pants off. The producers should get what his actions cost them and Broadway should ban him for life.

7. I guess this will probably put a stop to Jeremy Piven writing the forward for "Wisdom & Wisecracks for the Aspiring Business Owner" by Will Estell. We hear the Alabama writer had Piven on his short list for a celebrity to write the forward for his new book, but our guess is that Estell will probably be scratching this name off of the list.
