Yes...divorce is a sad event no matter how you look at it. But, everything I've seen Bradley Whitford in with the exception of the West Wing he's played real jerks. Does anyone remember how he played the cheating boyfriend of Chris in the movie Adventures in Babysitting with Elisabeth Shue? That' s how I've always remembered Bradley Whitford. Maybe he's that way at home and not out in public and Jane has just had enough of him. Who knows? None of our business.

Most Hollywood divorces are like "oh yeah well whatever" - but this one, I don't know - feels different. These two seemed solid, grounded, mature, responsible, good parents, good family people. I think for the first time in a very long time, I am actually stunned, surprised and saddened by a divorce. I hope they will be OK.
