Jackson Doc Offers 'Potent Narcotic' Solution

One of Michael Jackson's doctors wanted Michael Jackson to trade his dependence on Demerol for another "potent narcotic."

Dr. Alex Farshchian wrote Michael Jackson a letter -- dated July 21, 2002 -- in which he writes, "Buprinex (sic) is the potent narcotic I told you about last week. It is just like the D but better." Buprenex is an injectable narcotic painkiller.

Jackson Doc Offers 'Potent Narcotic' Solution

During a search of Neverland, Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies seized a scribbled note -- which may have been written by Jackson and found around his drug stash -- that says "Buprenex does the same as demerol, the only difference is you can't become an addict on Buprenex." The note refers to Buprenex as "synthetic demeroll (sic)." It goes on: "2 viles, I would feel safe having it in case of axident (sic)."

Our research shows if Buprenex is taken for long periods of time or at high doses, it can become addictive.

The doctor refers in his letter to a "5-7 day program that offers you the solution." The doctor does not explain the program.

17. Geez leave it alone already will ya, who really cares on how many if any drugs MJ was on. The guy is dead why do outlets continue to hammer something pointless and make it worthy to post on a site. Leave alone already TMZ was the first to break the news of his death so just take your bow and move on, because I'm sure there is other reports that could be posted then this same ole crap!

19. Thanks TMZ for keeping the pressure on MJ's doctors! They need to be held accountable and I hope the family will eventually press charges. I don't disagree that MJ was responsible for himself and he made the choice to take medication. However, if he was addicted and the doctors willingly continued to feed his addiction this MUST be addressed.

(Brilliant idea TMZ to post hard core MJ stories when most international fans are awake and then other American gossip stories when most Americans are awake. VERY NICE! )

20. Some of you people need to go back to school and learn reading comprehension. It was clearly stated that this stuff was evidence collected in molestation case, not the resent searches. And the hand written note was written by Michael not a doc.

Personally, I could care less the man is dead. I hate it for the family. May he rest in peace.

21. Again, MJ could've been in a great deal of pain--who knows. It's sad that this man's privacy was invaded in life and death--DAMN!!!!

22. It's too bad that TMZ has such a 'Gossip Magazine' reputation because you actually have a chance to do some REAL journalism here. I agee that perhaps you need to be a little bit sensitive in what you post (especially if it has to do with the children). But i think that you can make some of these doctor sweat! Dr. Kline should be the first one brought done for sure.
I would also like to know who the imposter was that did the news conference in London and i am surprised that you haven't found that out yet. I would also like to know where that 'deah photo' came from because i watched some video and cannot tell how they would have been able to snap that picture. I think that there is ALOT more here then meets the eye and TMZ seems to be the only one inteested in learning the truth. Like i said earlier; too bad you have a not so good journalism reputation.

23. 2003: Dr. Alimorad Farshchian is honored to be chosen as doctor of the year for 2003 by United States Republican Congressional Committee's Physician Advisory Board .

Way to go, Republicans! Now we can all pretend to be surprised. Not!

24. What these papers prove is that he may have been addicted/abusing narcotics for years. I'm wondering why he was seeking care from Dr. Alex Farshchian at the Center for Regenerative Medicine in Miami Beach, Florida?

According to their website they "concentrate on helping arthritic and injured people get back to a functional level of life. The center's expertise is in treatment of conditions of spine, knees , shoulders , and other cartilage damages. They have developed non-surgical and rehabilitation techniques focused on treatment and management of joint pain....Major players including GLOBAL ICONS, world champions, sports legends, Pro athletes, amateur athletes, DANCERS and people with just plain arthritis come to the Center for regenerative medicine from around the world for non-surgical orthopedic care."

Wonder if he was suffering from arthritic pain from all the dancing? Might be the reason he needed so much pain medication.

26. You guys write: "The doctor refers in his letter to a '5-7 day program that offers you the solution' The doctor does not explain the program." Your writer really needs to at least look at the pictures you guys are posting. In the images you post of the drug stuff seized from Neverland, the other pages of this document are clearly present (you can even see the doctor's letterhead). By your writer's slant, you get the idea this was a doctor chomping at the bit to pump MJ full of drugs. As you read the 5-7 day program shown in the images, it's clear the Miami Beach doctor and Michael Jackson were actually trying to get MJ OFF Demerol in a 5-7 day detox plan. At this point it's pretty clear that Jackson was seriously addicted to drugs and simply couldn't get off them, even when he tried.
