Co-Chairman of NBC Entertainment Ben Silverman is bailing from traditional media and going the way of TMZ -- it's all digital baby.
Actually, Silverman is starting a company with Barry Diller. The mission: To integrate digital media with traditional and bring advertisers along for the ride at the very beginning.
Basically, as TV and the internet become one box, Silverman is trying to create a one-stop shopping company that can produce, market, distribute and advertise new media.
Our spies say Silverman's first target is mini-Merv Ryan Seacrest. They're already in talks.
Silverman has exec produced "The Office," "Ugly Betty" "The Biggest Loser" and a bunch of other stuff.

(Page 1 of 1)Just because people have wide access to all sorts of material via the web doesn't mean they're any smarter. Case in point: anyone who would watch the crap that carries Seacrests name as a producer which is all total crap. Not that Silverman has put together much meaningful programming either-he may be only slightly above the very bottom least common denominator which is what Seacrest is all about-he can't even do a halfway decent radio show let alone anything else and his recent treatment of his long time agent proves what an ungrateful little no talent weasel he is.
Isn't this the guy who did Iam a celebrity that Spent was yelling at over the phone,.
I can't figure out why Seacrest is so popular after all he is just a bobble head on a TV show that has about run its limit
