Another day, another creditor's claim filed against Michael Jackson's estate.
The law firm Mesereau & Yu -- who defended Michael during his molestation trial in 2005 -- filed a claim on Friday against the estate.
In the claim, it says Michael owes the firm $341,452.05 for work done between July of 2005 and February of 2006.
And well worth it ... Michael was acquitted on all 14 charges.

The statute of limitations stops tolling when a creditor makes a legal claim. If the attorneys have demanded or requested payment any time in the interim between the time the services were rendered and now, it would stop the statute from tolling.
I imagine they have sent invoices many times in the interim up until MJs death. Now, it is the proper time to make a creditor's claim from the estate, if no payment was made after one or more properly sent demand for payment.

Diane, you are correct. The statute of limitations for professional services rendered according to a contract has tolled. It's two years in CA.

this is bull. were in the hell was these financial advisors and lawyers michael was paying to handle his bills. somebody wasnt doing there jobs. I think branca needs to be filing some lawsuits aganist these so called finaancial advisors, michael wasnt broke he has money why wasnt his bills getting paid when he had people handling his finances check book and everything else for that matter. are the judges and lawyers really this stupid! sue these advisors and make them pay michaels bills they chose to not pay. they didnt forget to open bank accounts and million dollar businesses with michaels money.

TO COURT to FACE his accusers, Polanski took off running like a thief in the dead of night. And WORSE, what does it say about not only law enforcement, but the entire Hollywood film community that they LET this guy STAY on the run for 30 YEARS, making movies, living his life as he pleased, and where was he caught? GETTING AN AWARD!!! I understand that different countries have different extradition rules,but back in 1993, the LAPD filed a formal request for Scotland Yard to GO GET Michael Jackson and bring him back to the U.S. Radio stations refused to play MJ's music, the media humiliated him and send him to exile.
Whats even more disgusting is how the the media and hollywood are feeling sorry for him, just because he had a tough background.

And he got out of the US and stayed out just like Michael Jackson should have.

This is a straight up jackass post. His dead wife and child have nothing to do with him admittedly raping a child. He also sodomized her. He had a choice and he could've just as easily had consentual sex with an adult woman. The child is now a woman who has said that she told him NO! This is no big deal. I'm sure he was on a payment plan because his lawyer loves him and speaks so highly of Michael. Since he is gone they have to present their bill to the court. I probated both my mother and brother's estate and this is exactly how its done. It is no reflection on the person's ability to pay. They just can't because........they are dead.
