I don't know much about Spielberg so can't comment, but TOM HANKS? LIBERAL, ELITIST, POWERFUL, WITH A SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT? What have you been smoking? Tom Hanks is one of the most generous celebrities in Hollywood! I can TOTALLY see him picking up the tab!

Ummm...a person who is an elitist is self serving, only serves their own kind and doesn't care about the welfare of others. In other words, they are right leaning, socially conservative. Liberals tend to lean to the left politically and socially, so your definition is way off.
