Carrie Prejean has a serious congressional supporter who thinks she should pursue a career in politics ... and it's not just because she has her finger on the hot-button issues. 
TMZ spoke with Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) who tells us he thinks Prejean could be a serious contender in the political arena: "[Carrie] has the ability to draw crowds and if she has a strong message to go with that, who knows what she can do? She has star power which can open doors.
"We've all made mistakes when we were 17. [The sex tape] is going to be an impediment, but people are excited about her convictions and her beliefs."
For the record -- Carrie was 20 when she filmed her world famous solo mission.

off subject but I'm pissed and need to ask this. During a neighborhood gathering one of our neighbors let it slip that 3 to 4 months ago they ( her and her husband who is a narcotics cop) caught someone looking in our kids windows with a truck backed up to our house late in the night. However she said they called 911 and went back to bed but the thing is nobody came and 3plus months later is the first we hear about it. First of all we haven't been out of town for over a year due to the economy so that means we where home. Why wouldn't they tell us the next day or something? Who finds this shady and kinda scary that a narcotics cop just let it go, I mean for heavens sake they caught people looking in our window.......our childrens window. We are good people, we have a beautiful house, hard working, not one criminal glinch in either of our past, soccer mom and baseball dad. The couple always appeared friendly but I don't get it.

I honestly do not see her appeal. There are so many more attractive and smarter women out there who go about their lives more honestly, morally, and without pretense. Why the GOP is in love with her is beyond me. (The GOP should look for women like Laura Bush ... she was pure class.)
