You guys are all idiots. Mordkin is not trying to make a "name" for himself. He's trying to keep Charlie from actually KILLING someone. They are not getting preferential treatment outside the initial moment that Charlie spoke to a judge via telephone instead of awaiting an actual hearing. That was preferential. My boyfriend is in Pitkin County jail, awaiting a pretrial hearing for 2nd degree assault, domestic violence. Against me. I would love to say that him walking out the door would be good. We were both drinking. I love him, but he can't get threaten my life and hurt me without consequences. There is an automatic protection order between us, as well. Put into place by Mordkin. A court ordered cooling off period is most likely a good thing, especially in a situation as high profile and volatile (given Charlie's previous history) as this one. Quit bitching about what is happening. You weren't there. You don't know anything about anything. None of us do. And quit saying they should "just let them reconcile if they want to" - if they let Charlie get off with no consequences, and he kills Brooke, or his next girlfriend or wife, what the hell will you say then? She deserved it? Idiots.

I have no idea who's telling the truth (in whole or in part) - but it sounds as though the locals are just following established procedure that has been established for good reason. A serious charge was made, and it needs to be sorted out. If it's true, there's real risk letting the two of them together. If it's not true - well, she's in trouble because it sounds as though they will indeed charge her. Nothing here that can't wait until next week for a judge to decide.

RDC- Does not matter the guy pulled a knife out and threatened someone. Sheen also has a history of shooting another person along with abuse reports. The legal system in Colorado has more sense than some of these supporters-they do not want to see someone get hurt or killed on their watch. Kudos to the police and prosecutor in Aspen!
