Jayson Williams -- Ordered to SCRAM

Jayson WilliamsDisgraced NBA star Jayson Williams will have a shiny new accessory for the winter season -- an alcohol monitoring anklet.

Williams just faced a judge in NY -- via a video conference -- in his DUI case. The judge is setting him free on bail. But the big thing: Williams is required to wear a SCRAM bracelet -- which tests for the presence of booze.

If alcohol is detected in Williams' system, an alert is sent to a monitoring facility -- who notifies authorities.

His next court date is February 16.
