Casey Johnson's Family Rallying Around Football

Casey JohnsonCasey Johnson's family is headed to Cincinnati today to gather around patriarch Woody Johnson and root on the New York Jets in their playoff game.

The Jets play the Cincinnati Bengals at 4:30 PM ET. The Johnson family bought the Jets from former owner Leon Hess back in 2000.

Johnson's body, meanwhile, has been released to the family and is being flown back to the east coast where a funeral service will be held in the next few days.

UPDATE -- TMZ has learned Woody Johnson, the whole Johnson family, coaches and team employees are wearing a blue bracelet in Casey's honor to represent the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which was founded by the Johnson family. Since her passing, a memorial fund was set up in Casey's honor.

FOOTBALL UPDATE: The Jets won.

These folks are cold. I wouldn't put it past them to stuff and mount Casey's head in her Dad's Trophy Hunting room

No wonder she was so messed up. Her family clearly didn't love her at all. Outrageous that they're so insensitive. Those bastards!

jeez why don't they just spit and stomp on her grave while they are at it? This family has an odd way of mourning. no matter how she died (whether her fault or not) she still should be mourned by her family not thrown aside for a football game. if this is how the treat her in death I can now understand why she was so messed up in life :(

THIS is their way of paying homage, or of some sort of sick, twisted, "only in the minds of the stupidly rich" memorial???????!!!!

God help the little adopted daughter in this mess of a family.

Seriously.

Lori, you ignorant $lut. The family owns the team. It is also business. Stay on your couch eating bon-bons and leave their family issues to their family pig. Go bengals.

You have to to wonder if Casey ended up such a mess after being raised by this family then what about her daughter Ava? Are they going to brush her aside in the same manner as her mother just because she's something that once belonged to Casey? How will poor little Ava turn out being raised by these heartless goons? Are they even helping Ava grieve over her mother or do they think they can just give her an icecream cone and some toys to shut the kid up? I hope somebody can get her out of there and give her a real loving and moral home. Just goes to show all the money in the world doesn't make a good parent. I hope someone is looking out for this sweet child before she is ruined by this awful family.

Do you people understand that Woody Johnson is the owner of the team?

How many times do we see athletes & coaches play or coach the next game to escape from something tragic. This is an escape for these people to get away from a sad situation for a few hours.

Its not like he's missing the funeral to go to the game. Someone said, "why can't he just watch it on tv?" Whats the difference if he watches it on tv or goes to the actual game? Why does he need to be in the same state as the dead body?

Its not like the family isn't having a funeral or anything for her.

You people need to get over yourselves

THESE PEOPLE ARE DISGUSTING. GLAD TO SEE THAT CASEY MEANS AS MUCH IN DEATH AS SHE DID IN LIFE. HER FAMILY SHOULD BE ALLOWED NO WHERE NEAR HER CHILD. SHE DESERVES THE SAFETY OF THE ORPHANAGE THAT SHE CAME FROM. CPS SHOULD BE CALLED ON SALE AND AHMAD IMMEDIATELY.
