'Deadliest Catch' Guy Suffers Stroke

Phil HarrisPhil Harris -- captain of the Cornelia Marie on "Deadliest Catch" -- suffered a stroke and is currently hospitalized, a Discovery rep tells us.

A spokesman for the show tells TMZ, "Phil Harris suffered a stroke while in port off-loading from the F/V Cornelia Marie. He has been transported to a medical facility and is receiving the best care possible. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and we will make more information available as we know it."

Phil has been captain of the Cornelia Marie for 18 years, according to the Discovery website, where his two sons serve as deckhands.

I am very sorry to hear about your lost! We are praying for your family and those left behind. For those left behind it is the hardest thing to go through. I just lost my grandmother in December of 2009. Is last couple of breath to my mother were do not cry for me smile I will no longer be in pain. Every day is struggle but its get better with time. The hurt, love will always be there it just get better with time.

Capn Phil was very much loved and respected.A man who never complained while performing the deadliest occupation on this planet. He will be greatly missed.
