"The comments that are allowed to remain up here that spew disrepect to the family and friends of Andrew Koenig are deplorable. It's definitely makes a statement about TMZ. Common guys...I am sure you have enough money in the budget to have someone hitting a delete key. Not all of your viewers are moronic and maybe it's about time you step up to the plate and remove the ones who are."

This makes me really upset. Another person from my childhood gone too soon. He was so funny on Growing Pains. You know he did a good job on the show because everyone who watched it remembers him very well. I pray for Andrew, his family, and his friends. RIP

This video of him not long ago is FUNNY! He really had a comedy gift. Why do so many comedians suffer depression? Wonder if his was something specific, life in general or a chemical imbalance that could have been helped with meds? Poor man and his poor family (plus the poor people who FOUND HIM!..can you imagine??)
Very handsome man with GEOrgeous hair!!! RIP Andrew.

Hollywood can be a very cruel place. Few childhood actors make into mainstream acting once those silly little comedies have ended. This is especially true if your the fall guy among the cast. (Can anyone say Screech?) Take a look at the cast from Different Strokes, Eight Is Enough, Perfect Strangers among others. Yes, some can make it a la Val Bertinelli, Tom Hanks would be your biggest success story but he's really the exception. Who would have ever thought Cher would go from the Sonny & Cher Show to Oscar-winning actress? But again she's the rare exception too. It's sad that Hollywood only seems to care about who's "in" at that moment and never gives a thought to former actors who can't find work and/or that no one will even allow them to test for that all-important role. May this young man find peace from above. As always, gone but not forgotten.

Josh (Andrew was his middle name) was so much fun, with so much talent that the character "Boner" he played could not show. He was no Hollywood brat, he had heart and soul and truly was a great person. Josh, I will always remember, "Gee Officer Krupke, Krump you!" How little did we understand where our futures would take us and what the world could become. I will pray to the tips of my toes that you are better now. xoxo

I do not personally know Andrew, therefore my comment will not attempt to diagnose him or to second guess his personal choices. Andrew and his family are as important as the rest of us. This situation required attention, there is nothing to be rude about or judge the attention received. May God bless Andrew and his family forever. Andrew, you are loved.

Andrew,

I will miss you. You were one of the good guys. You don't often find someone with a true unconditional conscience.

Most people will remember you as an actor. I will always remember and educate others about you as an activist and a real person.

Thank you for your dedication and willingness to risk getting arrested to pressure Malibu Lumber to stop selling old growth redwood. ALONG WITH YOUR DEDICATION TO COUNTLESS OTHER VITAL CAUSES.

I was right by your side for an issue very dear to me. There is nothing like experiencing the tranquil majestic and beautiful ecosystem of massive ancient redwoods and the wildlife that live there. The few remaining, if any. To log and destroy this to oblivion is an irreparable crime.

After several discussions by various redwood supporters pleading with Malibu Lumber to reconsider selling old growth redwood, we as a group decided we needed to step it up.

We, were the only ones willing to lock down with several bike u locks around our body's and neck to the gated entrances of Malibu Lumber. You were locked down on one entrance and I was on the other. We stood strong for hours blocking the entrance to get our message across to Malibu Lumber and the customers coming in. We left the police perplexed on how to remove the locks without injuring us. The police finally gave up and along with Malibu Lumber promised not to press charges or arrest us if we were willing to leave. We kept on for several more hours before we both agreed to call it a day and released ourselves. Thank you for your willingness to do what was right and necessary. You are dearly missed and thank you for being real and for your kindred spirit.

Respectfully,
A friend,
Scott

I AM SORRY FOR THE DEATH OF THIS YOUNG MAN. HIS PARENTS SAID HE WAS NOT TAKING HIS MEDICATION, WELL THAT COULD BE A REASON FOR HIM TAKING HIS OWN LIFE, THE SIDE EFFECTS OF STOPPING THE MEDICATIONS ARE BAD.
