Michael Jackson Bodyguard Fired

3/29/2010 1:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Alberto AlvarezTMZ has learned the bodyguard who says Dr. Conrad Murray asked him to help hide Propofol in Michael Jackson's house the day he died was fired from his job Friday by the Jackson family.

Alvarez had been working at the Jackson family compound in Encino since the singer died last June.

Alberto Alvarez is the bodyguard who called 911 from Jackson's house. Last week it was reported that Alvarez told LAPD detectives ... that before paramedics arrived on scene Dr. Murray asked him to put bottles of Propofol in a bag.

Alvarez -- who is sometimes referred to as Jackson's "logistics director" -- did not tell detectives about the alleged cover-up the day Jackson died, but rather two months later. The story about the alleged cover-up broke last Monday.

As for why Alvarez was fired, the Jackson family isn't talking.

It' obvious why he was fired!! He told the truth!!

The Jackson's really aren't as 'Goody Two Shoes' as they would like the public to believe!

We are suppose to believe that Michael wasn't into drugs, like they tried to deny on every show they’ve appeared on!
But, hey, the truth is the light!!
Michael was abusing drugs and I can see why!
Jaafar is going to be abusing them too, if somebody don’t step in!!

Alberto Alvarez is going to make big money now that he’s not working for them!!
Go ahead Alberto, tell us what really happening over there at the compound!!
Tell us about the day Michael died!
Tell us about that Dr. Murray!
We’ll pay big time to hear your story!!

If TMZ had even hinted at the 1993 Las Vegas Melvin Belli "set-up", the readers of this Bodyguard story would find it very interesting....but you do not get anything but big Corp. approved information....MJfiles Mystery of the Moowalker has the story.

Alvarez should be charged with accessory to a crime. He had to know better than to hide drug vials while MJ lay dying. That is IF MJ really died. We don't know what went on in secret up in that room.

Interesting Alberto was still in the Jackson family employ this whole time. I thought he was one of the few that were extremely devoted to Michael, to the point he never told his family or friends who he worked for. Unlike the 3 that did the recent ABC interviews.

Even though there may be a difference in his story, perhaps he was trying to not reveal the information about the Propofol and then after it came out, he told the whole story. It could happen.

Will wait to see what he says on the stand. April 5th is coming soon!

Brian Oxman, Jackson family attorney, stated in the ER Conrad Murray just sat and stared all glassy-eyed.

The police should have taken Murray down to headquarters right from the ER, questioned him, determine if the man is high and detain him. I thought this the day it happened. If the LAPD had done this, there would be more answers.

Im betting Murray was legally drunk that morning and was impaired in his judgment. Isnt that a crime too?

23. Not well thought out by the Jackson family or their attorneys. They should have put him on admin. leave until after the trial!!!! Sounds like the family jumped the gun and their attornys prob. didn't know they fired him. All confidential agreements made by bodyguard are now null and void.

What an idiot...admin leave, this is a private employer...hello! Why would they put him 'on leave'. Also, NO, confidential agreements do not become null and void after one passes away.

I understand that he was wrong, but regretted
The family must forgive , he is the best witness
Oxmam says that Michael is addicted to drug and family
I disagree with that decision

This was reported August 26th, shortly before the 2nd LAPD interview:

"We arranged two separate occasions for LAPD investigators to meet with my clients. My clients came early wearing suits and ties. The first meeting was cancelled and rescheduled. The second meeting I had to call them to inquire about the (detectives') absence," the attorney was quoted as saying".

Hum, it was all over the news that this guy, Alvarez, went into hiding after MJ 'passed' and NO one had heard from him. Now, from a source from a secret 'source' (TMZ where do you get this stuff and come up with this), he's been working for the Jacksons this entire time...OK!

Who are these so called 'secret sources' TMZ speaks too, ha! Also, we never get a follow up to anything, like the STUN GUN story...what happened. TMZ stalking the family, blah, blah, blah and no report as to the outcome.

Always the case. Never the truth...just a 'source'.

RIP, MJ...

I don't understand why Alvarez did not speak up IMMEDIATELY -- he was right there -- everyone was asking from day #1 -- "what did the 911 caller say about what happened?" -- but the public never heard a word or who the 911 caller was until recently. I presume the Jackson family fired him because he was not truthful with them from day #1. Almost like a betrayal of trust. Can't blame them for their actions. Justice for Michael, NOW!
