Tiger Woods Plane Footage -- Banned by ESPN

4/11/2010 4:25 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Hope you enjoyed the footage of those Tiger Woods airplane banners -- 'cause you'll never see them again on ESPN.

TMZ has learned the Worldwide Leader in Sports has instructed staff members that they're banned from running the footage on their networks and their website -- despite the fact that ESPN already aired it earlier this week.

Sounds like Tiger's still in bed with someone besides Elin ...

Would this be anything like TMZ being in bed with Gloria Allred?

I'm sorry TMZ but every story you've had in the last two weeks that has involved Tiger has been below board and just pathetic.

Attempting to make stories out of things just to pile on makes you look stupid especially when Tiger is sitting on top of the leader board.

In the end Tigers cheating will be a footnote in what will go down as the greatest athlete to ever play their sport.

While I understand that what you do is not journalism in the least you would think that you may want to keep some credibility at some level but clearly that's not the case.

I can't believe that even on CNN, MSNBC and all the NEWS channels, the biggest NEWS is ALL Tiger, ALL the time. 25 people dying in a mine is LESS of a story than Tiger ??????

Let's see. This proves that ESPN is not a sport's NEWS agency. It is capable of surpressing common news, which can effect the golf of anyone playing in the Masters. Which is news. The question is why is it surpressing such news. I doubt it is for national security. Perhaps it might be for Tiger security, and how much his simple playing brings into their ad revenues. Even I am disappointed in ESPN, and it is one organization, I never had feelings for, one way or the other.

I really think someone (Harvey?) should find out who ordered that FAA inspection on the plane! Find a whistleblower, that was real abuse of power, and shouldn't be tolerated.

LOL..... ANOTHER "organization" that's ONLY worried about $$$$$$$. ESPN- do you need MORE $$$$$$$ to pay your Connecticut taxes, thus you want to limit any negativity associated with Tiger? How sad. The guy's a scumbag no matter how great a golfer.

This is a question for Harvey the Lawyer. Why are all the news outlets reporting the plane story as an entertainment piece as opposed to what it actually is? This is a Federal Agency preventing someone's constitutional right to free speach to protect a golfer. Can you imagine what they would do over something important? The public wants to know who is responsible because a "ramp check" doesn't pass the smell test.

Just a foot note; the plane passed its annual inspections with the same belt tags and was deemed safe to fly.

Put Tiger Woods, John Edwards, Jesse James, Elliot Spitzer, Mark Sanders and Tiki Barber, all in a room. Tie their hands behind their backs and give them an ENTIRE bottle of Viagra. Then just let them sit there for 24 hours and film the entire thing. Bet that would stop their craving for sex, sex, sex. What do you think?
