Frank McCourt Antes Up Support for Jamie

5/7/2010 6:30 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

L.A. Dodgers owner Frank McCourt has been ordered to pay Jamie McCourt $225,000 in temporary spousal support, and Frank has also been ordered to pay $412,159 a month for the mortgages for the couple's various properties ... TMZ has learned.

Jamie McCourt had asked for nearly a million bucks a month in support, but Judge Scott Gordon shot down her claim for $444,000 in perks -- which she called "monthly prerequisites" which she received while she was CEO of the Dodgers.  Nevertheless, Frank was ordered to pay half a mil a month more than he offered.

Frank was ordered to make the payments to Jamie retro to last December ... which means he needs to cut a gigantic check -- approximately $2.8 million.

And get this ... Jamie says she's on the hook for $8.26 million in attorney's fees and wanted Frank to pay.  Instead, the judge ruled that the couple must sell their Cabo San Lucas home -- valued at $7 million -- and Jamie can use her half for lawyer's costs.  The judge wants more info before he decides if Jamie should get more from Frank in the attorney's fees department.

And the judge said this ... the couple has not paid any federal or state income taxes since 2004.  A source connected with the couple tells TMZ no taxes were owed during that period because of previous losses and real estate depreciation.

To the people who are making death threats and wishing horrible things on these people: GROW UP! To everyone else whining & crying about them not paying federal or state taxes: They're not doing anything illegal. Those properties are business investments (ie. write-offs) that allow them to do so. Just because they make a LOT of money doesn't mean they should be 'penalized' with higher taxes. And who cares about the starving children all over the world?

No TAXES? Geez - please send the McCourts back to BOSTON and bring the O'Malleys back. A family owned team who did not raise ticket prices for 17 years. These McCourts are sucking us for their own over the top greed and gluttony.

Frank should sell the Dodgers to someone who would really care for the team. He's letting his personal life run his professional life... We couldn't beat the Phillies with the pitching we had last year and then we don't resign Wolf(one of more reliable starters... and then don't even truly try to get Lee or Halladay in the off season... Frank I could care less about what you do in your personal life but to let the Dodgers just coast through this year... you suck.
As for the ticket prices going up... Get over it you ever heard of inflation?

As far as taxes are concerned,Major League Baseball is exempt from paying taxes. That's how the owners are able to foot the bill for these huge salaries. As far as the divorce is concerned, I feel this way, if a man makes his millions before he's married, the wife isn't entitled to a dime if they divorce. On the other hand, if they work together to amass a fortune, then it should be split evenly. Just my rule, make some of these bitches work.

Say "Mark":

If I'm not mistaken, it was a "Jew" who delivered all kinds of pennants and World Series titles for the Dodgers around a half-century ago. Does the name Sandy Koufax ring a bell?
