Former NFL running back Corey Dillon won't face charges following his arrest for spousal abuse earlier this month ... this according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney.
According to documents filed by the D.A., there was "insufficient evidence of corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition for proof beyond reasonable doubt."
As TMZ first reported, Dillon was arrested at his home on May 1 after his wife, Desiree Dillon, called 911 claiming she had been assaulted.
Corey tells TMZ, "The truth will always set people free, so let it be told. I'm a real dude and if I did it, I deserve the punishment. But in this case it's not the case at all."
