The lawyer for former "Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman is at the courthouse in downtown L.A. right now ... and sources tell us ... Bruce is trying to regain custody of his kids.
We're told Bruce's parents have filed legal docs to withdraw their guardianship papers, clearing the way for Bruce to reestablish his parental control over his two kids. In other words, once the guardianship is removed, Bruce is back in his position as the custodial parent.
Monica Burgos Beresford-Redman's sister, Carla Burgos, is also at the courthouse and we're told she is ready to object to Bruce regaining custody.
UPDATE: The hearing was continued until tomorrow at 10:30 AM. The judge told Bruce's parents that if they wish to resign as guardians, then they need to file formal resignation paperwork with the court. 
TMZ ran into Monica Burgos Beresford-Redman's family outside of the courthouse and asked their opinion on the custody issue.

Seriously tho, He should not have any trouble getting the kids back..family courts have will certainly grant him full custody.
Oh, yes he should have the kids! HIs family and him are incredibly wholesome and healthy and will provide the kids with the best life ever!

Whoever let this clown back into this country without a passport needs to be fired and Bruce escorted back across the border. The law says everyone leaving the country is required to show a passport upon returning.
This makes me sick to my stomach. I hope the court will not give custody to this murderer or his parents. It's disgusting. No one gets away with murder. He'll do it again and next time it'll be his kids.
..."innocent until proven guilty"....hard to chew those words now..he sure doesn't look like a man who just lost his wife...as in friggen distraught etc..at the very least..put the kids in foster care until this mess gets sorted..he did come back into country illegally...wouldn't put it past him to take the lives of his children and then himself..happens alot..

I feel so bad for his wifes parents. I can not imagine the turmoil they are going through. Having your precious grandbabies living with the man they believe killed their mother and not being able to do a darn thing about it. God, give them strength.
