Michael Jackson Anniversary Plans -- Denied!

6/22/2010 4:23 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Michael Jackson fans making extravagant plans for the anniversary of his death need a Plan B -- because Forest Lawn Cemetery and cops are putting the kibosh on most of the celebration.

0621_MJ_lawn_ex_getty
A rep for Forest Lawn -- where MJ is buried -- tells TMZ fans will be allowed into the park on June 25, but not into the mausoleum itself. And the news ain't so good for these special requests:
- Releasing doves (DENIED)
- Releasing balloons (DENIED)
- Performing Jackson songs and dance routines (DENIED)

Sgt. Tom Lorenz says the Glendale PD has its own no-no list: no camping out the night before, no parking around Forest Lawn 24 hours prior, and no street vendor sales of anything ... including MJ merchandise.

The Forest Lawn rep says fans who behave will be allowed to pay their respects.

And this is how it should be. I am a fan and I would not want/expect anything but respect from the other fans.

The fans need to know that they too will die someday and stop being so sad and silly over micheal jackson was no different then the guy down the block. That jury gave micheal jackson the death penalty when they let him walk that fateful day when they found him not gulity of molesting that cancer kid that I believe in my heart that he did. also i dont care what his mom said about how genrous he was he was a molester. And his death may be the best thing that has happended for his so called kids and kids around the world we dont have to worry about this man ever bothering young kids in a sexuall way ever again....

Good for Forest Lawn to put their foot down. This is a cemetary where other people are laid to rest, not a carnival and it should be treated as such.

27. Hey zipper, I didn't say that I agree with the dove thing all I am saying is TMZ gets this sick and twisted mind just to stir up ****. Those fans are not going to be playing loud music and such. They have been very respectful everytime they have gone there. I am not saying that their will not be some outburst of anykind from anyone. Hell that comes from any large crowd no matter when and where it is.
Maybe TMZ just needs to show a little respect right now to someone who is filling up their pocketbooks for them. just saying.

Im sure they would be well behaved and maintain themselves...Thats why they should have purchased never never land and made that into some memorial where the fans can go and do whatever..I know he didnt care for the place in the end..but he certainly built the place in his image..

Apparently some people feel as if Michael Jackson, drug addict and (alleged) pedophile is the only person buried in this cemetery and there's no need to respect other's loved ones who have passed away, and it's ok to turn the cemetery into a circus/freak show once a year.

I think Joe Jackson should have custody of the three MJ children so he can make money.

CONFIRMED: MICHAEL JACKSON FANS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THE MAUSOLEUM

Fans will get the chance to get up close to the King of Pop in a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Michael Jackson's final resting place, the Holly Terrace at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, California, will be opened to the public for the very first time on Friday, June 25, to mark the first anniversary of the star's tragic death.

Under the arrangement to be announced Wednesday, fans of Jackson will be allowed to pay their respects at the Great Mausoleum, where Jackson's body was interred in an elaborate marble sarcophagus last September.

It is a major milestone, because normally non-family members can't access the mausoleum where Jackson and a few other celebrities are buried, including Gone with the Wind star Clark Gable.
