Why is Stan saying that reports that the boat caught on fire are untrue when there were no such reports? Every report out there says the fireworks exploded near the boat, not on the boat. Why is he pretending the reports said otherwise? Anyone have an idea? Is it possible that this accident was planned all along for publicity's sake, and Stan just assumed there would be reports saying there was a fire on the boat?

I just re-read the article in Digital Spy again, and it quotes Stan as saying "there was no fire." Digital Spy says "Reports of George Clooney's boat catching fire are not true, according to the star's representative" but doesn't quote Stan as actually mentioning reports, so maybe Digital Spy is who assumed there were such reports.

Aside from what was obviously a hell of a scare, it is wonderful to see him happy. His new bella is obviously great for him, and talented and confident APART from him, which is great, too.
