Everyone who plays high school and college sports should be paid. PERIOD! In today's world a college degree is pretty much crap, unless you have a potent major. The only people making money off these men and women are the t.v. stations and colleges. This is tantamount to slavery. And I don't want to hear about some scholarship. $60...,000 is peanuts compared to the billion of dollars these people receive from these kids every year. There needs to be some major lawsuits to change this behavior........now you can rant.

It's probably a safe bet that most of the top-end college athletes are getting one type of compensation or another...whether its cars, cash, houses, clothes, or other 'gifts'. Nevermind the fact that they rarely have to go to class, they either get personal tutors (at the expense of the school) or simply major in Playstation 3...and get a full scholarship to do so.

Jeffro...PLEASE!!!!! STOP HATIN!!! I'm sure that some of the top (money maker) players are getting a few bucks here and there...but cars and all that is CRAZY. You must be talking about how it was in the 80's. And these players have to take "real" courses to stay eligible to play. No University wants to lose there accredidation for that. And yes...there are tutors that are available just like those available for any other student.
