'Dancing' Studio on Red Sarah Palin Alert

9/20/2010 1:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

There will be high security tonight when Sarah Palin shows up to watch daughter Bristol perform on "Dancing with the Stars" ... TMZ has learned.

0920_sarah_DWTS_EX_TMZ_01

Our spies say security guards at CBS Television City in L.A.  -- the place where "Dancing" is broadcast -- is on "heightened alert."  Although Palin is not officially running for anything, security is treating her like a government official.

TMZ broke the story ... Sarah will be front and center tonight when Bristol dances to "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)" with partner Mark Ballas.

Guards have been told to be especially vigilant with anyone entering the lot.

Our sources say security will decide which vehicles to thoroughly search -- though not every car will get the once-over.

As for audience members who are attending the show ... we're told their bags will be searched and a metal detector is always there.

And this is the best -- security has been told if there is a breach ... Sarah is a "higher priority than Bristol."

Yikes. How much is this costing the U.S. taxpayer? She should just watch it from somewhere else. Oh wait... they wouldn't get the same ratings then...

Why? Why? Why? Why are they giving this real-life airhead credibility? If the lady in row 4, seat 9, asked for equal attention because she was once a PTA Chairperson, would she get it? This is not an important person (please god).

Uh, I actually don't know if taxpayers are footing any of that bill or not or if it's all the studio. Here's hoping.

Whomever wants Sarah can have Sarah. I sure don't. She quit an entire state mid-term leaving them in terrible trouble. She's selfish and she DOES NOT REPRESENT ANY AMERICAN woman. She's white trash who lies and has used her gov't job to further her husband and friends' concerns. She's got a basic 8th grade education. On paper it's more but perhaps she *********d her way through college and didn't pay attention.

Sarah Palin did not win the VP nomination and she quit as governor of Alaska. Why does she require such high security measures? She should pay for the security if she feels she needs it. She has made millions on her book deal and numerous speaking engagements. She is not a government official so I am sure that taxpayers won't be footing this bill.

Disgusting! She is totally taking away any light that was going to shine on Bristol. Shame on her for doing that.

High priority, seriously? For what, what has she ever done good for this country? Name one thing. Her daughter will be the first one voted off, talentless and didn't prepare just like her mom.

So WHO IS PAYING FOR THIS EXTRA SECURITY?
-
Palin is NOT an elected official - she holds no office of ANY kind. So why should the network spend more money for more security?
-
If Palin feels she needs more security she should pay for it! She's a f'n millionaire now (since she quit her job as Gov. to chase the allmighty dollar!)

At CBS Television City all people entering the stage go through a metal detector. Also everyone has to surrender their cell phone and pick it up when they exit.
