A lot of drug addicts smoke. It replaces one addiction for another. I have seen it myself. There are people who have cancer who still smoke. That nicotine is addictive.

i'm beginning to think more and more the lohan "dysfunction"
is just a way for this family to stay in the headlines
it wouldn't suprise me if these idiot's planned the entire
"dysfunction" once they realized lilo was washed up

"All addictions be gone..." in Jesus name. Our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost why would we want to defile His house... yet alone our own house? Are we that stupid?

See ... folks .... BF is truly not the answer. If they allow any addiction to continue then what good is it? Why pay the big money? Smoking usually leads back to drinking and drugging. I guess the terrific Betty Ford doctors haven't gotten that far in their education. WHAT A JOKE!!

In rehab ALL rehabs they tell all addicts and alcoholics to not quit smoking for a minimum of a year. Your chances of relapse are significantly higher if you do. They say it as such "Do not quit everything all at once. It is to hard for early sobriety." How do I know. I am in recovery and have been in a rehab before.

Ernie-You don't know what the hell you're talking about, like Jamie said, your chances of relapsing are actually significantly HIGHER if you quit smoking right away(I'm well aware of how crazy that sounds, but it's true, and face it Ernie, Jesus dosen't work for everybody, so quit trying to play the religion card), and besides smoking isn't such a dreadful thing, you're alot better of being addicted to cigarrettes thne alcohol. Several of my relatives are regular smokers and have been for years, but none of them have cancer yet, and I still like being around them despite they're habits, so if Lindsay having an occasional smoke will keep her from relapsing, then she should keep up the habit by all means, as long as she dosen't overdo it, she'll be just fine.

In July Lindsay had done 35 months of probation with a minor violation and in addition to jail and rehab she got 1 year of formal probation when she had met all the requirements of her plea deal.
Now she is in rehab again until Jan and has a chance to put the DUIs behind her on February 25th so who cares if the 1 year faith program works.
If she wants to get sober she will but the most important thing at the moment is that she completes probation, no longer faces incarceration if she relapses and gets her life back.
