Lindsay Lohan -- I Wasn't Fired, I Quit!

11/20/2010 5:35 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Lindsay Lohan made the choice to leave her latest film project, not the other way around ... sources close to LiLo tell TMZ.

It's been reported today that Lindsay was fired from the planned Linda Lovelace biopic "Inferno." But sources who have spoken to Lindsay within the last hour tell us Lindsay decided to drop out from the film so that she could focus more on her recovery.

We're told Lindsay felt the project no longer felt right -- but that she and the director, Matthew Wilder, remain on good terms and hope to work together in the future.

UPDATE: A rep for Lindsay adds that Lindsay is "concentrating on her recovery" and calls the decision to leave the film "mutual."

Isn't part of all this "recovery" bull sh*t, telling the truth?

I disagree. I think Lindsay as Linda Lovelace would feel very right.

Um, don't believe the sources close to Lindsay. First off, these are the same people who went on and on about how she didn't have a drug problem. Second, a very good source (i.e. someone associated with the movie) informed me that she was fired.

Thank Goodness! I'm so pleased Miss Lohan decided to drop that nasty piece of smut and will be free to consider far more dignified dramatic challanges. Maybe she could play Daisy in Luhrmann's new musical "Gatsby".

Its the one continuous soap opera train wreck that we all love to read about.Which way is the train wreck going to go? Along the same battered line with all the losers and botched happenings or will she jump tracks and start a whole new life and career. My educated guess is the first line.

Sure ya did, Lindsay. Sure ya did...

That totally explains the producers comments that it was impossible to insure her. *rolls eyes*

Either which way it went I am glad that is the case - emulating the "***********" star was a mistake.

"Wilder and his producers ran out of patience with Lohan when she didn't meet with them while she was at her West Hollywood apartment on a day pass from the Betty Ford Center last weekend, several sources tell"

This is one of the few times I believe RadarOnline, because the producers made it clear with statements that had released beforehand that they wanted to arrange a meeting with Lindsay. I thought that was why she had gone to L.A. in the first place.

This is essentially proof that they fired her only after she had quit. By refusing that meeting, she quit without ever saying she had quit. But her actions had made it clear that she had pulled out.

She now quits/gets fired from the Inferno movie?...Boy,that trip to France for the film festival sure was a big waste of time then. Her reason for going there was to "so call promote this movie"..Remember her passport got stolen as well..hahahaha..:)

I honestly don't think to many people want to see her on the big screen anymore. She'd be to much of a distraction knowing her roll in real life as a screw up,and she'd ruin a perfectly good movie with her face in it.

I wish the media would just stop giving this bimbo, and her family attention. To many other worth while people out here doing good things, and accomplishing good deeds...Other than these attention whores.
