The dude was hilarious. His umpire scene in Naked Gun will go down as one of the classic moments in comedy.

RIP!

"Forbidden Planet" was truly ahead of its time, great movie with excellent special effects for the 1950's era. Great lead role for Mr. Nielsen, and the remastered version of the film looks and sounds wonderful. Check it out . . .

Man this sucks. Me, like a lot of people in the comments, grew up with Leslie Nielson with the Naked Gun movies and Airplane. He was a true comedic genious of the likes that we probably won't ever see again. RIP Leslie.

He was so damn funny! Naked Gun 33 1/3 is one of my all time favorite movies and I thank him for all of the laughs. Heh, I can just see his naked ass now in Scary Movie 4 ... he'd do anything to help people laugh.

I first remember seeing him on the old Walt Disney Show, he was Francis Marion, "The Swamp Fox", and he was wonderful! He was always a class act and will be missed.

TMZ: Thank you for the respectful headline and GREAT picture of him! A true first and very appreciated. RIP in Mr. Nielsen, you will be greatly missed.

John Johnson: You seem to have (conveniently?) omitted 2008's "An American Carol" from his long list of credits. It was a very un-PC and funny movie. It should not be discredited, though it tended to make fun of more leftist ideals than the norm for once, it most likely will be...
