Todd Bridges

Lemme Tell Ya

About Addiction ...

12/29/2010 5:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

"Diff'rent Strokes" star Todd Bridges isn't just collecting a check to be a spokesperson for a drug and alcohol counselor training program -- dude is putting in hours of work in the classroom.

Todd Bridges Drug Addiction
Bridges was roaming the halls at the ICDC College campus in Van Nuys, CA last week -- where he talked to students about his past addictions ... and explained how substance abuse counselors helped him kick the junk.

A rep for Todd tells us, "He is excited to work with ICDC and is looking forward to helping out as much as he can wherever he may be."

Details?

That's awesome Todd. Keep up the great work. There is much more hapiness in helping others. Drug addicts can tell you, they get a fix...not happiness, just a momentary illusion and then a need for more and more till they do not even care about anything else...including themselves. They will sell their stuff, sell there bodies, lie, cheat, steal..... It aint worth it. No better advice then just say no. Curiosity leads to jail, homeless and horrible pain. No freinds, only constant guilt and regret.

To me he always seemed like a pretty good guy.
Maybe He needs to get together with Gary Coleman for a New Years Eve Special on TV?
Anyhow i honestly wish him the best and I know his father Lloyd Bridges would probably be Very Proud Of Him? I know I am?

SERIOUSLY MICHAEL?

Congrats Todd on being a role model..it's never too late. We, those who aren't morons, are proud of any progress you make in changing your life for the better good. hopefully some of those who posted hateful comments have a chance at being decent human beings one day. They(negative posters/Gary's ex perhaps?) must have been raised by really moral ppl, with great values..~rolls eyes~

At least he's doing something good with his life. It is clear that his acting days are pretty much over (and have been for a LONG time), but if he can make use of his fame and life story to help people good for him.

Good for Todd...I was glad when he got the Everybody Hates Chris gig and I'm glad to see that he's sharing his life experience to steer others clear of making the same mistakes that he made in the past.
