'Skins' -- Parents Org. Wants Kiddy Porn Investigation

1/20/2011 3:50 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The sex-obsessed, drug-heavy MTV show "Skins" is under fire from a very powerful parents org. that's now calling for a federal investigation into potential child pornography violations ... TMZ has learned.

MTV Skins PTC

The Parents Television Council has fired off a letter to the U.S Department of Justice AND the U.S. Senate and House Judiciary Committees ... over concerns the show uses underage actors in graphic sexual situations.

The organization explains, "In addition to the sexual content on the show involving cast members as young as 15, PTC counted 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the premiere episode."

The group adds, "It is clear that Viacom has knowingly produced material that may well be in violation of [several anti-child pornography laws].

Earlier this week, the New York Times reported that MTV execs have already met to discuss the issue.

So far, no comment from MTV.

Get over it the US version wasn't anything compared to the UK version. Tell these uptight people to open their eyes and live in the real world, that **** happens. They shouldn't worry the US version was **** anyway, I will still be watching the UK VERSION AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU DO ABOUT THAT!

Folks here says... hey this is teen life.. well you're right it is.. it happens.. and still may happen..however.. when you have a tv show thats broadcast over the airwaves and unattended kids ( yep parents fault) watch this crap .. what occurs?? they learn from this crap.. which is the point..

now i know its hard to raise a well rounded "pure" kid due to life changes, peer-pressure, media.. but a show here thats says BLAM HEY ON MONDAY NIGHT SEE KIDS running around getting f! up and banging, and becoming jersey twits i have a problem with... lets not forget the new social trend of teen moms buying fake boobs instead of investing in their parenting and the kids like in a glamorious world .. they try to blur a ton of facts about this type of behavior.. i think it should be the parent that teaches the kid.. not MTV..MTV used to stand for music television.. but since they became cool again with madonna ages ago.. now they're the preachers of sin and stupid...and thats how i see them.. its tv for addicts, druggies, losers, and drunks, besides the ho's and b!tches, oops sorry i left out the skanks.. skanks need love also. :)

once again they've over-stepped their bounderies..

whats next

5 yr old drunk addicts kicking it at spring break! i bet you we'd probally hear from some potheads here saying

" umm beavis i dont see anything wrong with that"

The show is interesting but MTV needs to stop promoting this to teens (kids). That is part of the reason why so many young people are so disrespectful...and I can't stand 16 and Pregnant! It's wack that these teen shows are disturbingly trendy. The "END" doesn't look so far away for this society. lol

Not to mention their blatant disregard for their parents or any authority figure for that matter. Giving other kids the idea that there are no rules and that they can disrespect anything and everything they don't like - and that they can get away with what they want is so harmful to our society.

If you guys think a lot of these kids aren't already doing this, you live in a bubble. This is the result of the two parent income and not having enough time to spend with your kids.

HELLLOOOO. This is why the US/MTV shouldn't have ****ed with/remade a perfectly good UK show. Americans can't handle it. -.-

What basically amounts to a Christian organization is trying to force it's version of morality on everyone else. Who finds this dispicible? I do. Here's an idea, instead of focusing on a fictional show, they need to focus on cleaning the real pedophilia that is running rampant in their religion.

Seriously? First of all, young kids shouldn't be watching MTV at 10pm anyways, if at all considering most of the shows are rather trashy and rated MA. But aside from that, you people need to get your heads out of the sand. Sex, drugs, and alcohol are all real things that 16 year olds deal with. Either get over it, and educate them how to deal with them properly or hide them in a closet until they go to college (where they will then go crazy with so much new found freedom they will probably make more mistakes than they would have otherwise). Stop fobbing off your parental responsibility to TV networks and anything else you can think of.
