Charlie Sheen

Checks into Rehab

1/28/2011 7:54 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen voluntarily checked himself in to an undisclosed rehab facility earlier today ... and his show "Two and a Half Men" has been placed on indefinite "hiatus" while he undergoes treatment.

"Two and a Half Men" producers released a statement saying, "Due to Charlie Sheen’s decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing “Two and a Half Men” on production hiatus."

The statement continues, "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision."

Sheen's publicist tells us, "He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern."

As TMZ previously reported, Sheen had a briefcase of cocaine delivered to his mansion during a 36-hour bender earlier this week ... and was hospitalized early Thursday morning for a hiatal hernia.

Hmmm.wouldn't this be proof that this moron needs a conservator?
Just like the ADULT Brittany Spears...she was endangering herself and her children and her FINANCIAL well being.

Charlie is endangering himself and endangering the financial well being of those FIVE kids he has...I would think one of those WIVES would smarten up and ask a judge to protect the assets...but of course we're not dealing with the sharpest tools in the shed.

Good luck kiddies having a DIME to go to college on...maybe one of those porn stars can lend you a little of your dads cash.

Well I like the show - but its entertainment not real life - I'm happy to see Charlie is getting the help he needs to deal with his addictions - I don't think it's easy to kick addictions but it would be nice to see him as a clean, sober and happy person -
Good Luck to you Charlie -

Maybe Charlie should write a check to all the crew that will be missing work now due to the hiatus. Thanks to his reckless behavior, hundreds of people will be out of work on his "top rated" television show. Instead of taking care of his hookers, he should take care of the people who actually make his show and his career happen.

We are all rooting for you Charlie. Life is not easy for anyone, no matter how famous or rich you may be. Your comedic delivery is genius, and we all need to laugh. Come back to us and your children!

In Plain Sight

Maybe someone can get this message to Harvey to forward to Charlie Sheen, it would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Dear Charlie,
I've faced tragic losses in my life and suffer daily with severe pain. As a single, working, struggling mother juggling so many issues I found that the only relief I could get sometimes was by savoring a ****tail (or few). In fact, after work I'd come home, sit back, watch your show and "join" you in a drink as I enjoyed your and the cast's escapades of the day.
Because of the medications I take, including the morphine based pain killers, I know that drinking alcohol is not only not wise, but at times, an outright "death defying" risk. But what could I do? I needed rest. I needed relief.
The lifestyle you portray on your show affected me in two ways: 1) It made light of the hangovers, physical deterioration and even memory loss that comes from alcohol abuse - so, none of my indulgences seemed serious or a risk to my health; and 2) By weaving alcohol into so many scenes it made the show have an alluring appeal, like, an invitation to drink with you. As a result, I'd often lose my resolve not to drink even when it was clear it wasn't good for me.
And how bad was alcohol to me??? You see, in no time at all, even just a few drinks brought me this terrible pain in my right side… it felt as if there was pain in my liver. When liver enzyme tests alerted me to the danger I was in after drinking, that pain was overshadowed by terror!
So, for my kids, I decided I just had to not drink, not even a single one. But your show, which I do enjoy (you're ALL so damn funny!) makes it really tough for me to keep to this resolve… so easy... so easy to kill myself (without intending to do so).
Further, we all know that what applies to alcohol is true for drugs like cocaine. So… maybe, if not for yourself, but for the benefit of others who like me, struggle with drug or alcohol abuse, you could lead your program in a change of direction. Show the world an example of a wealthy, successful "jingle writer" who recognizes the detrimental affect alcohol has on his well-being and then, BEFORE hitting rock bottom - as it happens in real life... losing one's family, job, savings, home, health etc...YOU instead, face it, find healthy alternatives and set an example for others to follow.
Research and investigate rehabilitation programs. Discover the steps to success. Use your own experiences to exemplify the things that trip us up in seeking healthy alternatives as well as the techniques to employ to stay on the road to sobriety. Hey, sobriety ain't such a bad thing… beats the hell out of a hangover or cirrhosis of the liver any day! And while we're at it, seems to me sobriety is also waaaaay better than a stroke, heart failure or falling into a slumber and stopping breathing!
Right now you can be a "Hollywood cliché" or a "Hollywood Hero!" Show your audience the drug/alcohol-free party boy! If anyone could do it, you're the one to do it!
Charlie, show the world you can be suave, debonair, handsome, funny and a great host without the use of alcohol or drugs. The medical concerns that came to light this week just might be the greatest opportunity you'll ever see! You can make a difference! Please, just think about how many people you could affect in a very real life and death battle!
Well, thank you for your consideration. Good health and God Bless, Charlie. I wish you well in all you do.
Your fan, S
P.S. I suppose your cast mates hear all the time that they are all loved dearly but you can forgive me for adding my appreciation here too, can't you? You're all great! And to "Berta" please let me add: "Hey, Conchata you are incredibly funny! You are so damned fantastic that it's really a disappointment when an episode doesn't have you in it! Your talent at delivering the lines along with the hilarious wit of your writers makes your role "can't miss" performance. Keep it coming!

I never watch Two and a Half Men. To me, Charlie Sheen is a very boring actor, and very unattractive.

I wouldn't be surprised if he already has face cancer from smoking crack.
