Jewelry Shop Owners 'Sad' About Lohan Prosecution

2/9/2011 4:35 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The jewelry store owners who blew the whistle on Lindsay Lohan now say they feel bad Lindsay has been charged with a crime for which she could go to prison.

Kamofie & Company

Geoff Kaman, owner of Kamofie & Company -- the jewelry store where Lindsay allegedly pilfered the $2,500 necklace -- tells TMZ he and his wife "are extremely sad on how all of this has turned out."

Nonetheless, Geoff and his wife have cooperated with authorities, which led to the criminal case.

I don't believe for a second that Linds stole the necklace. This is a stiuation of a store trying to get publicity....and they are getting exactly what they wanted.

Wow..Reading the 'Comment" We are so sorry...."Don't show up as a "witness " This is a Blantant act to get 'Advertising in such a crisis in todays economy"

How many 'Super Stars" will come forward and admit or man-up.. Did this "jeweler" ever provide "Loaner Jewels" prior to this accusation.

Lindsey may have a "personal Crisis going on" Lets not execute
her in this @@$%^&**&^ charge. Wake up folks.. Read between the lines..

giving the necklace back doesnt change a thing. if you steal you steal. it doesn't erase what you did. I got prosecuted for the same thing for stealing a $4 vinyl sticker when i was much younger. she should get the same. I dont feel bad for thieves cuz i know how they operate. extremely destructive behavior.

There once was a girl named Lohan.
Whom we are all told has a slow hand
But instead of her stroking
In a jewelry store she went poking
And now will end up in jail land.

But her sensual talents are a plenty
Most girls would charge a twenty
She'll be the bell of the ball
Weather in jail or Juvenile Hall
And her new girlfriends will be a plenty.

Elizabeth from Michigan

The jewlery store owners dont feel bad. They should have called her or her handlers personally and asked for it back. Reports have stated she's been in and out of the store alot. What a crock.

I'm not a fan of her's and really was glad to see her pay for her probation slips. But this is a bit much.

But, also, I understand the others who think she should know better and that she's not that special to think others sill sign papers for "loaned" jewlery.

Does anyone here remember the Photo of her and the owner? He was ALLLL about using her for publicity with a Photo of him with her....

Your telling me he isnt going a step further for themselfs?

If any of you honestly beleive she stole something of this small of value knowing not only cameras are on her all the time for being who she is, but from recent problems YOUR the crazy one! And need locked up..and not in a prison.

The world is losing its common sense...Were doomed! DOOMED I say!

Lets Be Honest

Geoff Kaman, owner of Kamofie & Company, you have absolutely no reason to feel sad for this thief we call LiLo.

She "cased" your store over multiple days to find the right time to STEAL from you and your family. This theft was planned.

LiLo does not care about you, LiLo does not care about your family, LiLo does not care about your business, LiLo does not care about your employees. LiLo only cares about herself and what she can take from others.

Instead of being sad for LiLo I think you should be glad that you don't have to lay off any employees. I'm sure $2,500 can go quite aways for payroll.

Dayum, so Linds is going down for being a klepto? Reminds me of the good old days and Al Capone; the FEDS ended up prosecuting him for tax evasion because they couldn't make a case for anything else.

I say way to go DA, you may have just saved this girl's life if she's convicted.

Sad my a&&. If they were concerned about her they would have handled this completely differently. They knew she couldn't run and hide and they knew where to find her she's complete public fodder. These people wanted the publicity, and they got it. So don't hand me this sob story.

The jewelry store owners sound like some real nice people.

It is sad watching others make mistakes, but the good thing is maybe Lindsay will learn from this.

Her parents certainly didn't teach her anything..other than lie,and blame others.

tippy katz

Normal people, like the jewelry store owners, feel sad that Low-hand has wrecked her life.
It didn't stop them from doing the right thing, though.
They are really doing her a favor. She's been stealing for years.
She needs to held accountable.

bring back recent posts

..the law is the law..if she stole..and she got caught, that's life, no need to feel sad..if convicted ..yet was bound to happen one way or the other, better this way than killin someone in a car or herself with drug overdose, this situation isn't sad at all..its called karma....

Why do they feel sorry? She's the one who stole. If it was anyone else, they would presecuted and NOT felt sorry. Celebrity doesn't make you above the law.
