Police Report: How Lindsay Walked Out with Necklace

2/10/2011 2:00 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

Lindsay Lohan was trying on a slew of jewelry before walking out of the store with the $2,500 necklace ... this according to the police report obtained by TMZ.

Lindsay Lohan Necklace
The report outlines Lindsay's every move -- from the time she walked into the store to the time she left -- and it's all on surveillance video.

According to the report, Lindsay walked in and removed her necklaces and placed them on the counter.  The report says, "Ms. Lohan then proceeds to try on numerous rings and three different necklaces including the missing yellow diamond necklace."

The police report then says Lindsay continued shopping while wearing the yellow necklace.

Then, at 6:12 PM, the owner locked the store but let Lindsay and her friend Patrick continue to shop.  That's when Lindsay tried negotiating a ring she had been eyeing, but she didn't like the $3,600 price tag.  Lindsay took $3,000 cash out of her purse and offered it in exchange for the ring, but the owner said no.  Lindsay then said, "Ok, we'll come back tomorrow."

When Lindsay prepared to leave the store, she put her own necklaces back on her neck, along with the yellow necklace in question ... then walked out of the store.

The owner noticed a short time after Lindsay left that the yellow necklace was missing, but figured she took it by mistake and would bring it back the next day.  Lindsay never returned to the store.

And, yes I ALWAYS send flowers to a person who unjustly accuses me of a felony. Wouldn't want any hard feelings to get in the way of my trial.

Anyone that thinks this girl is just so absentminded that she forgets to pay for a necklace and walks out of a store with it, then takes it off at hoome and puts the same, unpaid for, necklace on days later, is an idiot. But then again, anyone that would believe that a jewelry store would "loan" some insignificant piece, such as that tiny necklace that wouldn't inspire anyone to even ask about, to an insignificant actress that is not headed to a red carpet event to showcase it, is another idiot.

In a nutshell, anyone that believes Lohans story that this was loaned to her, is an IDIOT OF EPIC PROPORTIONS.

NOW GIVE US THE MUGSHOT!!

Lindsay was pissed that the owner wouldn't take her offer for the ring: Who the f**k does he think he is? She wanted THAT ring for HER price, and when the owner refused she decided: "F**k him; I'll take this necklace then."

It sounds like this is 100 percent the jewelry store's owners fault. Lindsay should sue her for a million dollars for causing her all this trouble...I thought that Lindsay might do ten days in jail, but now I think she will walk away with no jail time. It's a very weak case and DA Duh Nette is'nt the brightest light on Broadway....

Why should the victim of the theft be prosecuted in the media as just wanting publicity? They didn't go to LiLo's condo and LEAVE the necklace. LiLo came to THEIR store and left without paying for it, or leaving any doc u mentation she was borrowing it.

If a store loaned a celeb an item without a single piece of do***entation, and that item was lost, damaged, or stolen from the celeb, what would be the recourse for the store? None, they'd be SOL.. which is why that would never be done.

And Nicole, Ms. Meyers is prosecuting Linds because she wants to be DA? Gimme a friggin break.. so because she's running for DA, she should immediately STOP prosecuting any felony complaints due to what... possible conflict of interest?

A theft report was filed. A video was viewed. A search warrant was issued. The item was returned by an associate of the accused to the PD, NOT the store itself. Charges were filed.

You can read whatever you want into any part of this, as you are certainly prone to in your la-la-land head, but the victim in this did NOT call Linds and invite her into their store, and they did not invite her to leave with their property without a single piece of doc u mentation.

If you were invited to take a $2,500 item on loan, wouldn't YOU say hey, shouldn't I sign something for this? The burden is ON YOU to ask, if they didn't, because.. wait for it.. THEY MIGHT CLAIM YOU STOLE THE ITEM. If you don't have the damn horse sense to protect yourself, figure on winding up in court with criminal charges or a civil lawsuit. Stupid is as stupid does!

Stupidity isn't a crime by itself, but it can indirectly land your arse in jail very quickly. No one is out to get Lindsay. What a wasted effort that would be, since she's capable of doing so much damage all on her own. If you dislike her and want her to eff up, just sit back, relax, and wait. She'll do it ALL BY HERSELF for you.

I thought all along she brought her friends along as to distract the clerk so she could take something. However, it
looks like she took the necklace out of spite because she couldn't get the ring she wanted for the price she wanted.
She probably displays cash while doing her shoplifting so that
if she gets caught it's a mistake because she says look I had
plenty of money with me to pay for it.
You may have the money to pay for it , but paying for it doesn't give you the same thrill as stealing it does.

Nicole Enabler, go away troll. You know damn well that "innocent" Loser Lie-ho has a long history of these type of crimes. And I'll ask you again: without Googling it, can you tell me the name of the store in question? Didn't think so. Guess that whole "publicity stunt" thing you keep on crying about isn't working too well. BTW, if Loser Lie-ho is looking for a plea deal, which comes with automatic jail time due to violating her parole, that means she knows she's guilty and it's an open and shut case. Why wouldn't she take it to trial if she is so innocent like you claim?

What's more hideous, her acting or her day to day life? If her life wasn't such a train wreck she'd have no career at all.

The only person that is guilty of being "absentminded" is the clerk who didn't remember Lohan hadn't given the necklace back when she walked out.

To err is human, to walk out of a jewelry store with jewelry one didn't pay for is...felonious! End of story!!

It sounds to me like Lindsay planned to rob them before she even got there, and she did what seemed like a pattern to steal the diamond.

She wears a couple of her own necklaces, put them on the counter, tries on a whole bunch of stuff hoping the owners get confused, takes out some money to let them know she could pay for something, waits until the store closes, puts on their necklace and then hers on top of theirs, walks out with the goods.

Lindsay has a criminal mind, and her non-stop lying is only more proof. Too bad! She could really have a nice career. She's attractive, but her spirit is rotten to the core.

Anyone who does not instantly hand over to Linsday whatever she wants, should be crushed, smeared, and ruined by the Lohan criminal machine, led by Michael Lohan! Go get em Daddy!

If the store wanted publicity, they could have given her jewelry, just like "everybody else does," apparently. And why wouldn't they sell her that ring at the price she wanted? If the don't want to haggle over the price of a ring, I'm sure they aren't in the business of giving shiit away.

go home!

And another thing, i LOVE how certain people ask "why didn't they contact her when they noticed the necklace was missing." 1) like it's THAT easy to get in touch with Lindsay Lohan? Give me a break. It's probably even hard for a store owner to get in touch with an Agent that probably wouldn't take their call. 2) It is not their JOB to get in touch with someone who walks out of the store with unpaid merchandise. The correct thing to do is call the police. They didnt call the police immediately b/c Lohan said she would be back the next day for the ring, so they in good faith figured she would realize she had the necklace and return it immediately like any normal person would. BUT, Lohan did not return to the store because she knew she stole the necklace and wasn't about to return it and that is why THEN the store called the police on her because it was not accidentally taken , it was not borrowed, it was STOLEN. Not to mention, shouldn't Lohan be paying off her debts with that $3,000 and not be out buying rings?

See ya in the Penn sweetie!

The store has changed its story. This will be a misdemeanor by happy hour on Friday. As has been stated before, her real problem is going to be the probation violation.
