'Two and a Half Men' Crew Furious - Episodes Cut

2/14/2011 3:40 PM PST BY TMZ STAFF

The cast and crew of "Two and a Half Men" have just taken a major hit to their bank accounts, because Warner Bros. has just axed 4 of the remaining episodes ... TMZ has learned.

0209-charlie-sheen-thm-logo-tmz-ex

Warner Bros. was supposed to produce 8 more episodes to end the season, but with Charlie Sheen out, it set production behind.

Sources connected with the show tell us ... show creator Chuck Lorre has decided he only wants to produce 4 more episodes when Charlie comes back, and the crew is pissed.

One crew member tells us, "We've been left in the dark and now we have no pay for 4 episodes and all we hear is that Chuck is saying, 'They're not my problem.'"

Sources say Charlie has told people he was willing to work weekends and beyond the scheduled wrap date to make sure all 8 episodes were produced.

As for the schedule, we're told the show will go back into production on February 28.  The remaining 4 episodes will be shot on March 4, 11, 18 and 25.

To me, it seems the production company is trying to punish Charlie the most by, 1) denying him in excess of $6 million in pay, and 2) making the rest of the cast and crew pissed off at Charlie. Charlie has repeatedly insisted on working and has passed a urine test, so why is Warner Bros. being so hard-nosed? Just seems vindictive.

Typical Hollywood brats. They are lucky they are shooting at all, the show is mediocre at best.

The point is, at the beginning of the year, in January, all the crew are forced to commit to doing all the episodes and this means they have to turn down all other work that they could have had during the shooting months' schedule. It is a very big commitment. Crew are not salaried, they are freelance and have to make their commitments and contracts many months ahead. In order to make enough to survive in LA (and crew do not make nearly what you probably imagine they might, believe me), it takes filling up the year with several different jobs/shows, and in order to be eligible for their pensions and health benefits through their trade unions, they have to work a certain number of hours per year or they lose it. Since Two and a Half Men forced them to commit to months of work in January, thus giving up the chance for work on other shows, the crew has now not only been screwed out of the Two and a Half Men pay, but other jobs they could have had a chance at. It is not as simple as "get a job." Crew workers are not like other workers as far as the way the industry works. And, for Chuck Lorre, a billionaire, to say "they're not my problem," especially when Charlie had proposed a plan to try to help the crew, is akin to Marie Antoinette saying "let them eat cake."

Did they not force Charlie into rehab?? He was showing up for work, didn't miss any time and was filming just fine. They insisted he get help! Now they're making it seem as if he's the one that has screwed the show over when he's said time and time again he would go back to work!
I'm not saying Charlie doesn't have issues that need to be addressed but in this instance he's not to blame.

Yes, I agree it's not Charlie's fault if the show had episodes cut.He showed up for work today and was acting responsible. He can't help it that no one was there. He thought he was doing what he was told the way I understood from reading something.Since someone told him show up to work when you're ready. I feel bad for everyone else on the show and behind the show.Keeping Charlie and everyone in my prayers about this. This is very upsetting for sure.

Thanks T.M.Z. for letting us know what is happening.

Hugs,
Charlie's fan for life

I could care less about this show and the one time I watched it I thought Charlie was just an overpaid narcissist getting paid to be, well, an overpaid, talentless narcissist. Sadly, this show must appeal to an idiot male demographic. Jon Cryer is more talented than Sheen any day of the week.

That said, I feel sorry for the crew and the other cast who have had their lives and paychecks from a successful show not only interrupted but in flux.

The only fair thing is to take the rest of Charlie's enormous salary or contract for the year, divide the spoils among those who have not fokked up, and throw Charlie in rehab. Then cancel the show.

He needs to have repercussions for his hideous actions that are obviously affecting others at this point.

One man, one boy, and one little girl from the way she's been acting... Ms. Charlene Sheen.

I suppose after as many years of working on a successful sitcom as this crew has had, I would probably be so comfortable that I would be complaining too.
Man! One season of steady work is an unattainable dream for a lot of people in L.A.
These poor saps think they're owed the mortgage and have forgotten that in show business the only guarantees you have are long hours and fattening food.
Don't burn your Chuck Lorre bridge, he'll probably get another show or 2. Don't you think?
And, oh yeah, Charlie Sheen is committing suicide in front of the entire world. Maybe you should all be a little more concerned with that and not whether you can afford to swim with the dolphins every day you're in Maui during hiatus.

Good luck to the studio getting even those four episodes. It would be a miracle.

Most of the commenters above are either jackasses or so bitter about their own sorry lives they need to attack the fictitious media-created persona of an actor in need of help for no other reason than their own self-aggrandizement. Get over it, will you all? Get on with your own lives. Sheen has faults like the rest of us. Unfortunately, his failings hurt other people. Would you spit on your drug-addicted cousin because he was emotionally scarred somewhere in his past. If you don't approve of what you believe to be his 'lifestyle', just move along to the old popular pristine standbys like Judy Garland, Eddie Murphy, Errol Flynn, Brittany Spears, Bill Clinton - Oh, wait! You mean OTHER famous people have had problems too??? Yes, people suffer when the wealthy and famous fall. That's news to you? Get over it and climb out from under that rock. Having celebrity of any kind doesn't mean you sad insignificant nobodies have a right to spit on them. Do that and you spit on the innocent family members. How would your mother feel if YOU were the target of such disgust? Get over it, and focus on the good in life - like the Italian Prime Minister or the current state of Egypt, the recent Cheney administration or the great care your grandmother received from the insurance industry when she was dying of lung cancer. Charlie Sheen is a product of a messed up culture that idolizes people that find their way into a spotlight in some form, regardless of worth or talent, just to discover they can enjoy almost any excess almost free of justice or reprecussions. Think you could survive that freedom? It's a miracle that so few actually suc***b to that kind of life. Lastly, where do you get the right to judge someone, anyone, when you haven't directly seen or suffered from their actions for yourselves. Shame, shame. Good luck to Sheen in his latest attempt at recovery and to all those people that ARE directly suffering from his actions, especially his family.
