"Celebrity Rehab" -- The Return of Steven Adler

3/7/2011 5:30 AM PST BY TMZ STAFF

If at first you don't succeed ... try, try again -- and with that idea in mind, Steven Adler is going back for another season of "Celebrity Rehab" ... TMZ has learned.

0306_steven_adler_rehab_logo_tmz_ex
Adler appeared on season two of "Rehab" and the first season of the spin-off show "Sober House" back in late 2008, early 2009. Adler then went on to stints in real rehab centers after being ordered to by a judge as part of a DUI bust.

We're told Adler will join the likes of Michael Lohan, Jeremy Jackson, Dwight Gooden, Michaele Salahi and Bai Ling on the latest season of Dr. Drew's show.

I think half of the people that go on celibrity rehab, do it for the money to keep using after the show is over. I quess if half of them get it and stay in recovery is better then none.

VH1 would not have a Celebrity Rehab show without paying these celebrities. No way. If VH1 can sell advertising and make big money from it then they are obligated to pay the celebrities.

It can be a win-win situation if everyone does it for all the right reasons ... besides the money. But ... the success rate for the show is very low .... unless one needs more money ... then it is back to VH1.

Do you think Mickael Lohan would even consider doing the show for free? Well ... maybe him considering he likes to see himself and hear himself talk. The money doesn't hurt either.

Don't pay them.... don't sell advertising and then see what happens. Like maybe HBO or Showtime ....

So sad that Jason was arrested recently for drugs and some others are repeaters of drug abuse. Being that Michael Lohan is going to be on the show I don't even want to bother watching. Hope he drops out otherwise we won't be tuning in to the show.

I knew this chick whose family moved into his old house in Calabasas (+either same house or very close neighbor to Jose of Incubus). She said when they moved in, there was needles ALL over the place. I even partied @ his house once before it was sold, and just afterwards ~$200k worth of stuff was ripped off, including recording studio stuff, and I assume the GnR AFD gold record he had hanging on the garage studio wall (I'll admit it, it momentarily crossed my mind, would've been a cool "present" for my mom, hah!). I/a couple friends were suspected initially, since it happened just after local kids & I were there... Makes me wonder, did he stage the robbery to get smack money?...We're talking 1995/6 or so...

Obviously there are many people commenting here who has never really dealt with addiction..It's not about celebrity it's about getting it right and they are putting themselves out there for us to see and learn from..As a child of an addict mother who is no longer in this world, I have had many grand epiphanies watching some of these affected people and learning what Dr drew and his marvelous staff are teaching...
Thank You Dr Drew & staff for all of the work you do..And Good luck to Steven and the rest of the addicts out there who are just trying to get it straight!! xoxo Good Luck!!

We moved into his last rental (before the first "celebrity rehab" stint) STILL get mail for his PA.
What's worse? The needles found in the backyard, semi-buried...
The used condoms in the yard, not buried..
The burn marks in the hardwood flooring...
OR, the CLOWN SUIT we found in the attic......

There are many who are trashing "Celebrity Rehab". This show should be required viewing for teenagers. They need to know how hard addiction is and how it destroys lives.

I just finished reading his autobiograpy. He is the product of always getting what he wants when he wants and it just became his life. Hopefully, he can break free for himself, his wife, and his career. Good luck, Steven.

Adler then went on to stints in real rehab centers - so this writer has the sense to realize that this show is not a real rehab. You can not take an addict who has been using for 30 years, put him in rehab for 21 days, treat them like big babies and expect them to be sober

steven had the worst time with the drugs than anyone else in gnr and it dont matter how many relapses he has as long as he quits and doesnt die

He is back again, as a return GUEST, people. This is a true face. Dr. Drew invited Steven back as an example of someone who is doing well and is a good example. Good for him!
