Charlie Sheen Rake$ It In On Tour

3/18/2011 12:00 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Charlie Sheen will make $7 million dollars on his "Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour ... TMZ has learned.

0317_charlie_sheen_tour

Sources connected with the concert tour tell us ... the deal is for Charlie to perform on 21 dates. He'll get 85% of the profits, with Live Nation getting the remaining 15%.  Charlie's cut is projected to average between $250,000 - $275,000 for each show.

And there's more ... Charlie will get additional $$$ for after-parties and merchandising with 200,000 pieces of merchandise already shipped out for the show.

In all, we're told Charlie will pull in $7 million in a month.

The show will last 1 hour and 15 minutes.  It's essentially Charlie doing comedy in a chair, so the overhead is minimal.

And since the shows are selling out off of Charlie's Twitter, there are no advertising costs.

"Two and a Half" what?

More Live Nation/TMZ comedy.

This article assumes that all of the "sold out" tickets actually sold, assumes that these dates will actually happen, and assumes that people will be ok with 1:15 of someone sitting in a chair doing the same routine they did the night before.

FYI, there are 8,000+ tickets for this "tour" on Stub Hub, which is owned by Ticketmaster/Live Nation. Still think it really old out?

Let the trainwreck continue!

In order to make his imaginary $7 mil, where is this nut case going to find an arena that that holds 100,000 seats?
Madison Square Gardens holds 20,000 seats.
Is he doing 21 mini one man Woodstocks?

Charle sheen is not a performer without a scripted dialogue. It takes alot of preparation and years of writing material to fill an hour show. The snipits of rants that have been on the web do not constitute an hour flow of material. His attempts have been disaterous at performing a show. An individual with his condition, whether chemically or illness indused cannot entertain for that long of a period. I personally would love to see thge insurance clause with regards to what happens or how much he makes if the show bombs and people demand refunds and or the shows get cancelled. Will he be winning then? One does make 7 million on promises, but on delivery.

I don't know who is more mentally ill, Charlie or the people that paid money to listen to him rant. It's going to be amusing to me if this show is nothing more than 1 hour of him ranting about how 9/11 was a conspiracy. Like they say...Fools and their money....

What's happening to Charlie reminds me of Howard Beale 'The Mad Prophet of the Airwaves' from the movie Network. ("I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!")

The Network let Beale stay on the air because his ratings were going through the roof. As his rantings continued he turned on his bosses and he turned on his viewers.

After refusing to commit suicide on the air, as his bosses suggested he do, they had him gunned down during his show. ("The first known instance of a man who was killed because he had lousy ratings.")

Charlie has launched his version of the Howard Beale Show, the difference is he's doing it on his own. CBS is doing the right thing by Charlie, instead of exploiting a very sick man, they only killed his show.

Love it go Charlie go. He has been playing the media the whole time, and he is just jumping on his opportunity. He is trying out a new venue. Howard Stern also "rants" on his radio show talks about nothing..he's just doing it in person. I find Charlie highly entertaining always did. The fact that CBS was stupid enough to pay him 1.8 million an episode is their problem not his. That's how you negotiate a contract. You all are just jealous that you didn't think of it first. Remember Charlie Sheen is a smart business man don't underestimate him..the more press he gets the better.

At any time, if he comes off his hypomanic state, this whole thing could crash and burn. Big time.

I can't wait for the first one to bomb. He better have a plan cuz if he thinks he can sit up there for a couple hours talking about how he wants to cut people's heads off, well, even that gets boring. And he ought to be very, very careful about what he says about people cuz if I were Lorre and he attacked me on stage, if there was one iota of anything I could use, I'd be the first one to sue his a** off just to wipe that smirk off his smart a** face.

Right on, Charlie! "When life hands you melons--squeeze them!" San Francisco looks intriguing, but when are you coming back to SoCal? I want to go to your house for the afterparty. ;)

Why are people feeding his ego?! They're just paying him to be an idiot. If this is all true and not an act, Charlie needs help. Just like most stars who lose it and most people just joke about when they're going to die.
