Robert Downey Jr. & Mel Gibson:

Double-Double Date

3/21/2011 3:25 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Robert Downey Jr. and Mel Gibson got together for a friendly celebrity power lunch yesterday, but it didn't go down at one of those super-expensive Hollywood joints -- they got burgers at In-N-Out ... TMZ has learned.

Mel Gibson and Robert Downey Jr.
The old friends found themselves out in Irvine, CA when the hunger pangs hit -- so they went to every West Coasters favorite fast food spot.

According to a witness, they each ordered a Double-Double combo meal and dined with a third person, non-celebrity. They were joined by a friend, who did the ordering for them.

BTW -- We know the pic is blurry, but we've confirmed  ... it's definitely them.

No word on why the two were in Irvine together, but we're told it definitely wasn't for a movie.

If you are 40 and know where babies come from, you don't 'accidently' get pregnant. That conception was planned by one. In my eyes, Entrapment.

Having a lawyer call another one down to his office and keep talking about making tapes public and how it wouldn't happen if a certain number of MILLIONS was paid..., in my eyes is extortion.

You can't soft peddle this. When I got my divorce, as with millions of others, my child support was handled in front of a judge, in a court. Not in a backroom. (though I never got much of it)

I would not call this 'child support' I would call this extortion!

I've watched this and the Tiger Woods deal and wondered when someone was EVER going to admit these lawyers were stepping over the line.

Tiger Wood's girlfriend and Gloria Allred were gonna have a tell all press converence. Then there was an agreement and the tell all went away.

Woods was in the dog house so bad all he could do was pay up. Gibson was led to the same slaughter pen, but backed out.

God bless the LA Times, God bless this detective that told the truth and probably is taking a tough lashing from these lawyers right now.

And someone please, get Mr Gibson a wheelbarrow to haul those two markers of manhood he has hanging in front!

God Bless you too Mr Gibson, for not having lost your mind during this.

I have such a respect for you for not giving in. FlagEdit ReplyReply

We don't have great whites this far north, but we have plenty of little reef sharks (harmless), and crocodiles (don’t poke them). If your son really wants to swim with great whites then South Australia is where you want to be. There's a company there that does cage-diving:

gonesi - not on purpose we don't - but they are salt water critters so if you swim at the beaches there's always the risk. The rivers near the ocean are dangerous and it's not wise to swim there but further upstream it's fine and out on the reef is fine too. Wow! Had never heard of an aligator gar - they're impressive!!! Sorry for the slow response - I'm on the new thread :o)

It's sad that a fish lives 50 -70 years in the wild, is very rare and then a man spends 30 minutes pulling it into his boat so he can gloat about it and that's the end of the fish. Very sad.
