Its a good thing his name isn't Lohan. It would be the worst crime in history and he would be breaking probation for a 57 year old misdemeanor.

It was dropped because there wasn't any abuse. The statements from those who were right by him when it happened supported that. Only one witness said it happened in a "violent manner". Funny how people can't get it through their head that NOTHING even close to abuse happened. He was drunk and loud, that's pretty much it.

There was clearly no indication that he had abused his wife! He didn't get off because he is a celebrity; he didn't do anything wrong (other than make an ass of himself because he had too much to drink).

I guess the DA had fun with the multiple stories the New Orleans police came up with. Have the cops settled on one story yet?

it amazes me how celebs always get off scott free. if there was nothing going on, why was he arrested? if it were you or i, i promise the pathway would have been differant. i have two thoughts, money talks, and it's not what you know, it's who you know.

He was arrested because he dared the cops to arrest him. They were trying to just get him to go on his way, but instead he did what a lot of drunk people like to do, confront authority. When you dare a cop to arrest you, they're going to do it regardless of what you may or may not have done. Furthermore, Nic's wife isn't the type of person who would put up with any type of abuse, if she said it didn't happen, it didn't happen. If something like that had happened or was going on, she would divorce him in a heartbeat.
