Bethenny Frankel -- Legitimizing Reality Shows?!?

To say that the fact that Bethenny Frankel's considerable monetary success "legitimizes" "reality" television is flat-out lunacy. The fact is, the sole fact that crap is successful, financially or otherwise, in no means legitimizes said crap; it only proves that there's a market for it. All Bethenny Frankel's intense financial score says is that there's a lot of Americans who are ready, willing, and able to buy into the notion of wholly-unearned celebrity. The woman is just a rich 15-minute wonder and absolutely nothing more.

Bethenny is brilliant! Perhaps the only smart person to ever appear on a reality show. She = American Dream, she worked hard to create a brand and product, when she was told no repeatedly she never gave up... and now she's worth over $200 million. Show me any other reality star that has done that, she's not rich because she's famous she has an actual skill.

I think Bethenny is fascinating! She is very outspoken and demanding, but also very sensitive and honest. I enjoy watching her interactions, and can't see enough of that adorable baby! Great for her that she has earned a fortune. No man provided it for her; she went out and earned it for herself, with the help of her hubby, and a lot of assistants, of course. She really did make the Real Housewives so much more interesting. Now, I kind of depend on Ramona for excitement. Kelly is obviously unbalanced, Jill is petty and mean-spirited, LuAnn is soooo boring, and the others are just background. It isn't even quite worth it anymore.

Bethenny, I really hope you don't read these comments. No one in the spotlight should EVER read comments on these sites. It's interesting for us that follow you, but not good at all for you to be reading. If by some chance you do read this crap, I would bet a hundred bucks you can recognize a lot of the comments as someone you know that is jealous of the success that you have worked so hard for. And the rest are just from jealous nobodies who would never get up off the couch for 30 minutes, but still expect that they should be just as successful. Ignore it all. You deserve every success because you have EARNED it. I'm extremely happy for you! But I am like one other commenter who said to work for a couple more years and retire somewhere tropical. With your family. And out of the limelight of hollywood that would feel just like hell to me. But it's your choice. I love you and your family, I relate to you, at least what you show us, and I wish nothing but all the best!! (Now leave this site and don't read anymore gossip site comments, if you are!)

Gosh-How many of your friends did you get to write all of these things about you. Another person doing nothing by making money, Jason, what a cute name and your last name is so cute to" "Frankel". You only had a good stoke of luck, which only rotten people seem to have.

I think Bethenny is hilarious and her shows remind me of I Love Lucy episodes--just r-rated. It takes a special talent to come up with all those one-liners and gift for gab. Bethenny was the only interesting person on The Real Housewives of New York, other than Ramona's funny pre-teen daughter Avery, who we rarely see anymore. Jill must be dying a thousand deaths for dissing Bethenny at "the Countess's" urging last season. Bethenny is an amazing success story and has the cutest baby ever! She certainly had the last laugh (all the way to the bank, too).

betthany, you go girl. I'm so proud of all of your accomplishments that has happened in your life. your are a lot like me in many ways. Little to no patacience is fun and it makes you who you are. You a great woman,with a great family. i'm glad your in-laws are now being your "mom" and "dad". You worked hard for what u got and a lot of people are jealous because it happened to BETTHANY.I hope my idea will get noticed some day and i can do what you do. We are so much alike. No parents of our own ,but a great husband and in-laws. We saw what we have on our mind and my motto is that you will never know what will happen until you open your mouth and ask.Thank God for tequilla. Aw, I just adore Bethenny. I really think she is the real thing, not fake. I watch Bethenny Ever After and she is amazing.. I think she's such an inspiration for many reasons.. Sure she's not perfect, but who is? And she's so honest. Well, obviously I don't know everything or for certain, but she's either a sociopath or a really good actress if she's faking her emotions and tears.. So I doubt that that's the case.
I met her in NY this month and she was very sweet, friendly. I wonder if all this is taking a toll on her, I mean sure she's famous and it comes with the territory but she's ALWAYS working, doing promotions, events, etc.. I get the impression from her show and what she discloses, that she's very hard on herself and nothing is ever good enough, she seems to be trying really hard and now that she has a family, love and a career, I hope she can take it easy and enjoy her life.

I love Bethenny, she has worked had to get where she is, and of course that brings with it a lot of jealous people. I wish her all the love and luck in the world, and I would love to see her on a new reality show. I miss her, and need a Bethenny fix.
