There used to be a guy on the basketball team at Duke about 10 years ago that was a Mormon and went on his mission while still an undergrad. Two years in Germany and he converted exactly ZERO people. Jimmer seems to understand that giving up 2 years in his prime isn't worth it for those results.

I served a Mormon mission. I'm afraid it's *TWO YEARS*... A bit longer than the NBA lockout. (we hope!) Also, the Mormon mission is all about change within the missionary. It's not measured by number of baptisms. I only had three baptisms, but I don't feel a day was wasted for all that I learned. Also, doug pound... Mormon meeting consist of going to church, taking "sacrament" (similar to Catholic "communion.") listening to a few sermons, and then doing a acripture study class. Sorry, we're pretty much ordinary Christians... We don't have any sexually based worship services, rites, rituals, or ordinances. Sorry!

@Joey, Jimmer is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). Nobody is required to serve a mission, it is strictly optional. I served two years in Michigan my brother two years in Thailand and my best friend did not serve at all. We all still attend sunday services as active members of the church. If there is a social stigma in the Faith its strictly that, Social. No united group of faith has perfect members. Bigotry and immaturity have no place in any conversation.
