La La's eBay Auction -- How Do You Use This Thing?

7/23/2011 4:30 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

La La Vazquez knew she wanted to use eBay to sell some of her stuff for charity -- but she didn't quite know what she was doing ... and now some of her belongings could be sold for pennies on the dollar.

La La is helping to raise money for Oxfam by selling off some of her amazing fashions -- such as a pair Giuseppe Zanotti black leather boots and a dress by Diane von Furstenberg.

The problem is ... La La didn't set a reserve price (a price that HAS to be reached during bidding or else the item would not be sold) for any of the items -- which means La La could be parting with some of her things for a fraction of what their worth.

Hey, at least it's all for a good cause!

What a dunderhead. Well, she is one of the many BFF's of K.Kartrashian and Kimmy wouldn't hang with someone smarter than herself.

Hey TMZ! Get a clue. If the seller has the stomach for it, 'no reserve" on eBay actually stimulates bidding and can often bring items to a much higher bid. Reserves scare away potential bidders and no reserve adds to the frenzy that can make people over-pay.

I have no idea who La La Vazquez is. But I think it's great that she is helping out charity by selling her things.

Who the vuk is LaLa and why should anyone want to buy it's used stuff? If that person wanted to make money for charity why not work for the money and donate it? I mean, who is going to buy that 1980-ish Devo jacket without those funny looking hats that went with them?

I wouldn't be too impressed by this example of charitable giving. Each auction says: 10% of the final sale price will support Oxfam America. (Small deduction may apply.)

These items look old, tarnished and kind of dirty. They are one hop from the trash can.

She's also about to find out once she pays ebay their fees and paypal there's, she's not making any money at all. Ebay is robbery.

TMZ, you're the ones who don't know how to use eBay! As Bob notes, setting a reserve price scares away potential bidders while setting no reserve price adds to the frenzy that can make people over-pay.

If you're item is really worth something, set an artificially low starting price to attract bidders and watchers and NEVER set a reserve price. Reserve prices are for Cowards and Dunderheads.

She can always cancel the sale and remove the items to be relisted.
