The Game

COULD FACE CHARGES OVER TWITTER PRANK

8/13/2011 6:55 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0813-the-game-tweets-BN
Rapper The Game could face criminal charges after he tweeted the phone number of the sheriff's station in Compton, CA -- but told people it was the number to call for an internship -- causing the station's phone lines to become overrun with calls and delaying emergency services.

The calls began around 5:20 PM PT, with most callers hanging up when they heard it was a sheriff's station ... and the rest asking how they could intern for The Game.

Deputies eventually discovered The Game's tweets and Sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker tweeted at him to put an end to it (see above). The Game eventually responded (also above) and deleted the tweets.

The calls ended around 8:00 PM, but Capt. Parker said it was unclear how many people with legitimate calls could not get through during that time.

According to the Sheriff's Department, they plan on turning over a complaint to the District Attorney's office to possibly file charges -- including delaying or obstructing a peace officer in the performance of their duties.

It's easy to track a twitter you moron! I'm sure whoever answered the phone asked where they got the number an the idea there was an internship available. Even though it wasn't the 911 emergency line, often people will call the non emergency number when they can't get through. You aren't at the station all day and have no idea how the workload actually is. It's Compton. They are probably already very busy.

Of course you want to charge him with a damn crime, he's a black rich rapper. It's a huge deal, lets use lots of additional police time and tax payer money investigating it. Makes total sense to me.

So...how are the police supposed to solve murders and other crimes when no one will talk to the police or help because of the stupid "code" of the streets? Snitches get stitches? That's dumb. I like how people can hate the police and accuse them of harassment, yet they want them to be there when they need them at the drop of a dime and pull evidence out of thin air to solve a murder. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just seems a little hypocritical...

I gaurantee the game knows some gangbanger who murdered someone - hell he may be guilty himself. So why doesn't he turn them in if he's worried about solving murders? Oh yeah you can't snitch because of some wierd sense of barrio pride. Those who do that need to go to hell because they are just as guilty since that murderer will likely do it again when they could have even anonmously turned a killer in. Nope....he's black...everything is everyone elses fault. Blacks are so perfect they do nothing wrong. It's society, whitey, anyone....but them

Only a black "man" could be bewildered that the police could track down a tweet with his picture and name attached.
